    Re: how naive an answer

And what an obvious original reply from yourself Dragon....."how many hours a week does he put in and whats at the bottom of his paypacket"

this has to be the most boring response in the world.....you earn alot and are privileged so it gives me the right to say how I feel about you but you cannot respond back to me

Nothing wrong with people having an opinion after a game but some take it too far and use the old argument of how much players earn, i pay your wages etc

Take his post in the context that he had just received this:

"When is Keith Hill going to pull his finger out and realise that @JButterfield19 is having a negative effect on the team? This little w4nker is doing a Brian Howard and thinking he's bigger than the team. Somehow got the armband, took a few long range shots and now thinks he's f*cking Superman. O'Brien is worth a thousand of this nob. If a team came in with a quid for this f*ck, I'd carry him there myself. Just do us a favour, stop pondering over a contract and f*ck off away from our club. You ain't needed or wanted."

There were quite a few more - some have been deleted now. Most were saying how **** he is. Utter bilge from morons. He didn't try to hide on Saturday. He was pushed out wide by the manager. He has been fantastic for us this season and I have enjoyed seeing people have to eat their words after the b@llox that was said about him not being up to the Championship on here last season. I desperately hope that he doesn't leave BFC, but he will. It will be at that point that people will realise just how good he was for us.

To those who don't rate him as a player... I can't take you seriously. The lad has more class than we have seen at Oakwell in years. I'm sure you enjoyed abusing Eaden and the rest too.

    Supporters - my @rse.

What a perfect illustration of the effect the mindless minority can have on our players and our club. If he was in two minds about whether he wanted to go or stay, he's probably not any more. Mebbe he's thinking that if he went elsewhere he might be appreciated a bit more. I agree that this isn't helping him, and for those who say he needs to develop a thicker skin and grow up, then think again.
The lad is a real talent and I'm delighted I've had the opportunity to see him grow and develop into the talent he is today. Given an opportunity to shine after being consigned to bit part player by our previous manager.
It's truly astonishing that people can't see or understand why he would be upset. OK he's a young lad with shat loadsa money and he'll earn more.....but whilst ever he's pulling on our shirt and giving his all (which I do believe he does)...then lay off him.
You keyboard warriors love to dish it out, yet the irony is you don't like it when you get the tiniest bit of stick and flack on this board. It's an absurd state of affairs that one of our brightest talents isn't fully appreciated by our fans, Everyone has an off day.

Keith Hill has said all our squad is not worth the fee for Keith Andrews of Ipswich

So no matter what the fans say............it looks 100 times worse when the manager is saying it

    http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-..._my_entire_squad_says_barnsley_boss_1_1151648

Hill says........"there’s a gulf. If I wanted to recruit Keith Andrews for example I’d have to sell all my squad.”

That must have been the longest tweet in history Phil! :D
But seriously, thanks mate for that. I hadnt seen any of the moronic stuff until now. And that was making me mad just reading it. Ok, J should realise that its a minority, and remember the thousands of tweets where he has been showered with praise. But its not that easy. And I am sure that every single bad tweet will stand out to him more than a hundred good tweets.
The lesson though, is that maybe he should close his account, or lock it and block it etc. I dunno. And wasnt Reuben chastised by Keith for using it? Maybe he should apply the same to Jacob.
Funny though, poor Reubs, Clicker, Danny and Digger, they'll be getting this kind of treatment one day.. oh, and Stonesy.
I admit that I said he went AWOL, and stand by that comment. Just as I stand by my "bossed the 1st half" remark. That is surely acceptable. I hope we arent expected to both pay our money, and keep our mouths shut... all because of a few braindead numpties probably still at school.
I have never, and never will, directly tweet a player in that abusive manner.
I do tweet the lads in both victory and defeat, but with praise for the former, and "chin up" encouragement in the latter.
    Each to their own.
I just hope that when the club 'choose' to cash in on J in January, for an undisclosed amount, that the club - and Keith in particular - dont say "I blame the boo-boys" etc...
January is going to be inte-blummin-resting ;)
LOVE YER JACOB, shove it darn their throats, or sumat

    Agreed mate

I never understood the idiots who slagged off lads like Nicky Eaden, it seems that to them, any player we produce must be crap.

Why? Tommy Tailor, Stuart Barrowclough and Mick McCarthy were ok weren't they?

Didn`t Robins give him an opportunity to shine, after coming on as sub and making things happen didn`t he start him for the last 8 games? Bringing him on slowly and saying he needed to build up his stamina in the summer.

You've got me Detective Owen :) I didn't actually say that anyone on the bbs had given out any abuse. I accused ppl on Twitter & FB of doing that and said that I had "stopped going on the bbs". I also said that one of Whitey's tweets "smells like bbs bull". In a personal conversation today I also said that the bbs is "the most frustrating website on the internet"!!!

Now, i've been reading and contributing to the bbs in it's various forms since about 1999. I have claimed to have "stopped going on that chuffing bbs" on approximately 957 occasions during this time. I do find it frustrating at times, I do occasionally get reeled-in by wind-up merchants, and I have often found the unrelenting criticism of some Barnsley players to be totally inappropriate from 'fans'. Sorry about all that. I keep coming back though as I also love the site for much of the time too. I'm sure that even the bbs' biggest fan will admit that you often have to sift through plenty of bullsh1t when finding the proper sensible football discussions and comedy genius. Sorry if I offended the bbs in any way! :l

I noticed your replies were to Mark_a_stokes and Jacob Butterfield. Mark gets 99% of his marketing idea's for the club from this website so l think we've been fairly useful to him over the past few years.

Footballers with open accounts on all social networks will be getting some, Butterfields 4/5 angry "tweets" will be **** all compared to what Rooney etc would get from the scousers. If l was a pro footballer l wouldn't bother with them or lock them.

He didnt receive an angry tweet from a rival fan though Gordon. He received abuse from people who reckon to be bfc fans and regular attenders at Oakwell. I think that is completely different and I would imagine that Butterfield does too.

I read one from the chez bird on twitter that Butterfield responded to telling her she was chatting sh*t and never played football, l then saw the one from yourself to her saying that she was a top reds fan and trying to back her up with her apology to Butterfield and Butterfields mum. It seems you singled out this BBS to Butterfield and Mark Stokes when in fact it was people on FB & Twitter and your mate @chezthelez who were giving out the grief. A lot of bad press to the players and Mark Stokes regarding this site that was uncalled for. I haven't seen any personal abuse to him on here, he has been criticised but only like any other of the players on this site.

Is that the Mark Stokes that owed people money when his magazine went tits up and the one that started that website which keeps us informed of how many days have passed since we played Man Utd? Whats he doing nowadays?
