It's a very shrewd interview Makes it clear to Jacob Butterfield that he's very much wanted at the club, but he's under no pressure to decide his future just now. Also tells anyone wanting him that they're going to have to damn well pay for him. Hope we now have the courage of our convictions and reject any paltry offers out of hand.
Re: It's a very shrewd interview Also hope we don't accept the first offer made in January for him. If more than one club desperately want him let em get into a bidding war and knock his price up.
I thoroughly enjoy listening to his interviews and more often than not I agree with everything he says. Butterfield could do a lot worse than listen to and learn from Hill.
Re: It's a very shrewd interview Most transfer fees are over inflated on a massive scale and players valued significantly higher than their real value so why not one of ours.
Re: It's a very shrewd interview How can you make that comment given we have not sold him and i am not aware of any substantial bids coming in for him as yet?
Re: It's a very shrewd interview Have a listen online Mark, go on you know how much you enjoy listening to him
Re: It's a very shrewd interview I fecking will not!!!! I will ring my lad up and he can tell me, lol.
Re: It's a very shrewd interview not said weve sold him . but imo Howard mcphail and ADs were better footballers than him and if he does get a bg move in 2 years he will be playing at a smaller club than us like they are
Re: It's a very shrewd interview we could do with someone putting a bid of £3 million in writing on the table for us to turn down, it'll all bode well in summer then, come on patrick get one of your mates to scratch your
Re: It's a very shrewd interview You don't know what you're missing lol. Seriously though I imagine there will be a transcript of the interview on the net.
Me too - says what he thinks with no arsing around. I know he upsets people but I still maintain that he wants the same as us. He wants to build the club. The training report posted on here this week illustrates what I want him to be doing on the training ground too. I'll get slammed for being too much of a Hillophile but mark my words, we're going in the right direction under these two. Just hope Flicker doesn't go to Rochdale or Preston. Jacob should stay but agents talk and money talks louder..but I love Keith's realism - if he goes , he goes for the right price and he'll be replaced - possibly even from within the club. Love it. No one player bigger than the club. If he goes, life moves on. .. eg Shackell
He's under 23 and has been offered an improved contract. If he want to leave without signing said contract, it automatically goes to tribunal.
