    Seconded, Alistair Sim by a country mile, and to think most of today's kids have only seen that rather damp Jim Carrey cartoon(ish) film version of Scrooge, although to be fair to Carrey he did sound like he was trying hard to channel Sim for the voice.

    Patrick Stewart (jean Luq Picard) did very good Scrooge IMHO

    I also loved the Mr MaGoo Version

    also agree about the color too...just like the film "its a Wonderful Life" I prefer both in the original black and white
