    Was there when it happened. Bloke lying on floor with blood everywhere. Must have been bottled. Looked like lasses in the back of the van arrested. Not good at all

    Someone was allegedly slashed in there Mad Friday as well as other unsavoury incidents.

    Heard a girl glassed another girl on Mad Friday as well, don't know where.

    This sort of thing had been going on in Barnsley for years. I saw my first glassing in the Corner Pin 40 years ago. We've had more than our share stabbings. A mate of my eldest was stabbed in Victoria Road about 20 years ago.

    Barnsley and South Yorkshire is still one of the safest places to live.

    meant I'm well out of being involved in and a part of the nightlife scene in town after many years, it's not only the violence but also how flooded with drugs the pubs n clubs are. The more people shove up their noses the more nasty incidents like the ones mentioned happen.

    If we go out in Liverpool we go out on the fringes of the city centre - older man type pubs where you can get a decent pint and a seat :) there are certain bars we will not go near

    Went in there a couple of years ago whilst staying in the Adelphi. Good real ale.

    Fly in the loaf is still open - that's one of the pubs we go in. The one further down is a good real ale pub - the roscoe head. You can buy 3 third pints of different ales to try so you can find your favourite one :)

    Turned out to be nothing more than a punch up.

    The guy who was "Murdered" was able to leave hospital after treatment.

    What a load of bull this thread turned out to be.
