Seriously! I don't get to many games due to work but I've always got the impression he's been one of our better performers, granted he wasn't at the races yesterday

He was poor yesterday, but he needs cover from someone. Butterfield doesn't provide it.

    We're missing Drinkwater.

The dip in his performance level since we lost Drinkwater has been noticeable. Hoping he is fit in time for the weeds game.

Nothing new to last season the player in Perkins position with the formation we played always gets criticism.

What a load of tripe. Perkins has been one of the most consistent players. The reason we lost was down the flanks, particularly McEveley

Dont agree the full backs did not have a great game but we lost the game in the middle of the park. We got dominated and their midfield ran the show in the second half. Seriously light weight with just butts and Perkins in midfield.

    Perkins was poor yesterday

    And very average against Ipswich.

I wouldn't say we've lost because of him, but his performances have dipped since Drinkwater got injured, coincidence or not.

Simple reason why we lost was very poor finishing (Done and Davies)................granted Perkins was not at his best BUT he has built a good reputation this season and he's a great signing who can handle Championship football.

We had no steel and bite in midfield yesterday. It's time to bring back Nathan Doyle from Preston!

Strange cos we have won plenty with him in it. The reason we are losing games is Perkins and buttercup cannot play as a midfield pairing.
Perkins runs his self non stop breaking up the play backed up by drinkwater. Its not a part of buttercups game defending tracking back etc hence why the midfield tends to be missing. Every manager who watched the second half of the Ipswich game will know exactly how to attack us.

Your talking total ***** there!! He needs cover when going forward and correct Butterfield doesnt do that as too selfish to do a holding job. Need Doyle back to cover for Drinkwater IMO

neutral friend at the game, said to me "the blond guy" had a good game, also said: "why are the strikers always off-side?", "you've got to hit the target when one-on-one". Me, I thought Done and Davies showed their Div 2 class personally, Perkins on the other hand is great.

I agree, I cannot see how people can be so critical of Perkins. He has done really well at this level and has not disappointed. His enthusiasm is there in abundance, he runs, closes players down and can also find a good pass at times. He is NOT a liability in midfield at this level. He is doing a good job, has done a good job and I hope will continue to do so.
