Why don't we just send the team bus over to Rochdale to pick up the whole team and have done with it!

    Extract here...note the important detail...

...giving a clue as to why Hill likes him...

S****horpe United have sold striker Chris Dagnall to Barnsley - but are on the verge of replacing him with Stalybridge Celtic's Connor Jennings.

Dagnall has today signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Tykes, after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the 25-year-old.

Chris Dagnall has left S****horpe United to join Barnsley, after just 18 months at Glanford Park.
.The former Tranmere Rovers trainee had been linked with the Glanford Park exit door prior to the opening of the January transfer window, though manager Alan Knill recently rubbished talk of a bid by League Two club Bradford City.

Dagnall's hard-working reputation had made him something of a fans' favourite during his 18 months with the Iron, but he has struggled to turn his work-rate into goals.

As one of the bigger earners at Glanford Park, his switch to the Championship - where he netted five times in 37 games for S****horpe last term - paves the way for the signing of hotshot Jennings, whom Knill confirmed an interest in last week.

Hmm. S****horpe = East of Barnsley. Rochdale = West of Barnsley. I don't think that would work somehow.

Interested as to how Hill will use him as like the 451 approach. Worried 442 may put us back a bit but it fits who we have available- Steele Hassell Foster McNulty McEveley Wiseman Perkins Addison Vaz Te Done/Dagnall Davies

Im all for having a hard working striker but that only gets you so far in football...id rather have a lazy **** who scores goals up front than a hard worker who dont score. Lets give him a chance 1st too see how he gets on...

You don't tend to get many lazy shits who score goals. Some of the best strikers who hardly ever touched the ball (Ian Rush) were constantly making runs and trying to create space. Very rare that the ball just finds you in the right place.

50 odd goals at one per two starts over three years at Rochdale. Can see the attraction.

He scored a lot of goals at Rochdale before Scunny so he is capable...lets hope he nets early on and goes on from there!

Totally agree Whitey. So far KH has done very well in the transfer market so I have no reason to doubt him now. As far as picking up lower league diamonds goes I trust Hill completely.
