or will it go with the Shackell money & Leeds gate receipts towards plugging the deficit each season. We have signed Dagnall for an "undisclosed fee" but l can't imagine it being much and his wages will be nowhere near Haynes, who Hill stated was one of the higher paid players in the squad in his interview at the weekend. A fee for Haynes & Doyle and a good saving on the wages, could this pave the way for a decent signing in order to prevent a second half of the season slump that we have been accustomed to?
Not sure how true this is but i was told at the weekend that regarding any further new signings the club would have to sell before they can buy. Like i said not sure how accurate that is but make of that what you will.
The Don more or less said the same on the radio when asked yesterday. Doyle will go for free but will probably free up a decent wage and we want "our money back" for Haynes. We can't sign players for much on our ***** crowds.
100% correct so either we need some more fans through the turnstiles or a new owner with very deep pockets. Always makes me chuckle when stay away fans complain about lack of funds and investment.
the real question should be will we get any money for them? because if they're going to Charlton and Preston, we won't be getting much from them.
Depends what you call decent signings. Do doubt if you haven't heard of them you wont class them as decent. I think mot hills signing have been decent this season. So i will be happy with more of the unknown. Can't believe some people are still craving big named signings
Who's craving a big name signing? Hills stated before there's players he'd have liked to have signed but they cost too much, l'm talking about one of those players. Would the board give him 200k-400k?
I wonder how much that deficit now is each season having trimmed the wage budget and increased the admission price, their gate receipts may be up on last season's even with a slight fall in average attendances. Breaking even and mid table is what we are aiming for.
