    More than likely be doing bird by time he is twenty one. Forever battling in clubs etc.

    Why can't he make the transition to first team football HT? Why is he such a footballing hobo already?

    Who are you referring to that 'hasn't seen him play' ?

    I can tell you that I actually have, about 3/4 times for both the Academy and Reserves.

    Reserves

    Much much lower standard of football. Luke Potter, Steven Bennett and Jamil Adam, three more players who were good in the reserves, none of which are/were anywhere near good enough to play regular in the championship.

    Your problem is that struggle to separate the various grades of football and the standards required to play each one. You are automatically programmed to think that just because they have destroyed another team full of sixteen year olds that they are going to become the next best thing.
    This is something you have done for several seasons now and then had it blow up in your face. You really do need to start becoming a realist and understand the majority of players we as a club produce are not good enough.

    i dont. I got stick for saying butterfield would be a very good player barnaley. I think hes become that.
    I get stick, but who cares. i was not the only one on here who put good things about kern. Quite a few did. Now if kerns not done something away from that then its not my fault. Its amazing the amount of people that have seen him play, or are they putting comments about someone theyve never seen.

    Speaking for myself our record over the past say ten years of bringing through young players from our academy/reserves is very very VERY poor so Kern being loaned out again is no shock.

    You get stick for your blind faith that every player under the age of twenty at oakwell is a world beater and trying to defend the indefensible.

    You really need to understand that very few young players actually make the grade required for their respective clubs.

    Two players in twelve years have left the oakwell academy have made the championship grade.

    so him play in reserves v blunts res Roy Carrol sent of for them thought Miller looked a good prospect

    Why is it?

    No I don't have anything against Miller, other than the fact that he seems to get into a lot of trouble. Reserve team football isn't a 10th of the standard of regular championship football, it's for young talents, trialists and players getting back to fitness. Kern spent all his time here either in the reserves or out on loan, neither manager he has played for have seen anything in him to warrant him staying here, Accrington Stanley also didn't like the look of him. And lets be honest, BFC and ASFC both know more about football than you and me put together mate.

    he hasnt left the club as he archey.
    Clubs do at times get these things wrong.
    i bet fulham would like a 21 year old butterfield. at 16 they didnt.
    All your saying is he hasnt got it right outside if football.
    so what.
