I will be laid off along with 9 colleagues on the 26th of this month.
Because I am single, without kids etc, that has been taking into consideration.
Ah well, **** happens, and I wanted a career change anyway...
    All hail the giro!
Maybe I should have gone on strike or sumat..?

It has done you no good kowtowing to them , has it?
Royally been shafted mate, the extra hours you put in didnt help then? Bastrds!!!
We have been asked to take unpaid leave because the work has slowed down, yet they will not put it in writing for us.
Only 7 workers at our place, mwe know which 2 will be kept on if any have to go, no chance of those 2 standing together with the others.

I don't think it is fair that because you are single and have no kids has been taken into consideration.

Yeah, I'm not an employment lawyer but I'd be surprised if that can be a legitimate factor

    Thanks for kind supportive words.
And I dont really care what excuses they wanted to use. They have kept on those who have worked there longer, and said there were other factors taken into account. **** em. Im seeing it as a positive thing. I am Keith Hill-ing it. Endeavour, ambition and over-achieving... :D
Cant keep a good man down etc etc.

She only gets blamed where she screwed the working classes up and sold off our national assets to her political friends on the cheap.
