Re: Because I've been led to believe we've spent next to **** all jesus - you think we've been "had" !!!! I'm astounded - in what way have we been had????????????? You say you're pretty certain - define your certainty. Define "had". Your thought processes intrigue the hell outta me.
Re: £1.8million spent on players you are deluded my friend - he has foook all to spend - if he had daveys or robins budget we'd be top of the league right now -
Re: "he's had far more to spend than Robins" Its just this kind of stuff I'm tired of hearing Totally because its a load of ***** - the only thing Hill is being compared to is our previous campaigns in this division - just smacks of someone talking up an enemy that doesn't exist other than in Keith Hills mind - and its condescending and it needs to stop.
Re: £1.8million spent on players Tbf Davey spend what he had earned from the FA Cup run etc - we have achieved nothing under Hill yet.
Re: £1.8million spent on players I would imagine the £1.8m he's referring to probably includes wages, signing on fee, and coach fares.
Re: £1.8million spent on players Tell me how you are so certain of these facts then? Do you know how much he has had or are you just going on what Hill says?
Having read most of the thread on this I say let KH have his say and get things off his chest. If that's what he thinks and articulates then so what? The bottom line is making sure the club is stabilised and in a position to move forward. Hill is doing a good job on both of those points in my opinion regardless of budget so if he's frustrated at having doors slammed in his face regarding transfers and wants a moan so be it.... I think if BFC can stay up this year (and I think Hill is the man to do it) we will be in a stronger position next year when further youth improvement takes place and further financial constraints affect other clubs...Only my opinion of course
The thing is - that he keeps saying it - he was told the budget before the season started and agreed to it - he then went on to tell us we would be signing players we have never heard of - which in most cases is correct, he also went on about developing players - now he's whinging about aspects he never referred to or weren't an issue when he agreed to become our manager and then hits out for no reason saying the fans are asking for unrealistic demands, when there is no evidence of this - yes we all get down when we lose - we all get behind them when we win. Keith grow up you big baby! **** me - i can't imagine Rochdale where the Chelsea of League one when it came to getting players either.
I'm not really bothered about the whingeing though... as long as I think the club is getting stronger he can moan about the tea lady for all I care.... I do think there is improvement and that's the bottom line for me. If he slags the fans off then yes he's potentially storing up problems for later on if things go belly-up since the fans will remember his rants against them then, but at the moment the club is being improved, the football is better and there is hope for the future rather than pessimism. Let him have his outlet if thats how he is and thats how he deals with the pressure
Re: Because I've been led to believe we've spent next to **** all Because if almost £2 million has gone out of BFC in signing a group of players, the majority of which were out of contract, then we've either been paying agents ridiculous amounts or we've paid way over the odds on the couple of players that have cost us money. There's no way the signings Keith Hill has made should have cost our club almost £2 million when so many of those signings were out of contract.
Re: "he's had far more to spend than Robins" Why does he feel the need to say the same thing every single week? Surely everyone's got the message now. At least he's stopped having a go at the fans
This could become a good game We all have to guess what other BBS members earn, what they do, what time they get up, how many holiday days they get and how often they are off sick. Most of the answers will be on talksport during the course of the week.
Re: "he's had far more to spend than Robins" if he thinks spending 1.8m is hard, he should try it on Football Manager... i've only got 31k to spend!
Out of contract players don't cost nothing You've got signing on fees, agent fees, etc. etc. I would imagine, and I'm only guessing, but the 1.8 million that Keith Hill is referring to includes transfer fees, signing on fees, agent fees, and additions to the yearly wage bill. It's the total package, not just the xxx you pay a club for a player.
To be fair to Hemsworth, at least he understood Keef's budget comment seems to have totally bamboozled certain people on here
I never said they did I said that if we've had to pay out £1.8 million to recruit them then we've spent too much.
