if we have a couple of offers on the table to players the interview may have been tactical to make agents aware that we weren't going to be pushed any further. Could be wrong but just a thought. He talks in riddles a lot of the time but I think he says most things for a reason.
I think he's just a motor mouth But he seems to be a very good football manager. I know that's heresy in the minds of some, but I think he's a good manager with a big gob.
I agree, I think every thing he says is part of his management strategy. He knows exactly what to say and when to say it to try and benefit the team and the club.
We don't have money,we've hardly ever had money so we either work with what we got or we go down the road of many other clubs and spend money we have not got and put the future of the football club at risk. Just tell me Keith exactly how much you had to spend at Rochdale and i'm pretty sure when you took the job at Oakwell you knew what budget you had to work with here.

He's statng the facts of the situation during a press conference prior to a game against a team that has spent millions yet now sit below us in the table. What the **** is wrong with you? He either has to do what he's been doing and hunt around for lower league bargains that fit his ethic because we cannot spend what we do not have. How is that searching for a negative? Vaz Te-free Davies-free Perkins-free Edwards-free plus Wiseman,Done and Mcnulty for not a lot and his loan dealings. Think he's done very well with his limited budget.

Re: We don't have money,we've hardly ever had money It's pretty clear that the point he's making is that KH is getting stick for "complaining" about his budget, when it's quite likely he's sending a message to others (agents/players/clubs) that we won't budge on the offers we have made. He also makes a slightly masked comment towards Don Rowing about getting Haynes sold - which was quite obviously affecting our ability to bring players into the club. The point is, there could always be another reason KH is talking negatively about our finances beyond simply whinging.

Re: We don't have money,we've hardly ever had money exactly! ML - I wasn't criticising Hill, far from it. I was suggesting that there may have been an ulterior motive for his comments. I think Keith Hill is great by the way and he will be the best thing to happen to BFC since Wilson. I think some negative comments towards him are ridiculous given the standard of job he is doing with limited resources. However, I don't think there is actually a great weight of negativity towards him in reality. He either perceives that there is more negativity than there is, is too sensitive to criticism or is confrontational with the minority for some other reason; I haven't worked that out and probably won't. He was the same at Rochdale but I am coming to the conclusion that he does pretty much everything for a reason - and it seems to work. I think his interview this week may have been an example of that.
