Please note, I did not say I prefer us to lose. I most certainly do not. Not by the tiniest fraction. But I prefer the behaviour of people on here when we lose. I can understand anger and frustration when the team you hold so dear and has such a big affect on your emotions loses a game. I feel pretty down about it, even though I know it shouldn't affect me so.

Conversely I feel up when we win even when it's been a bad week. But the cretins that come out on here when we do are starting to make me physically sick. Falling over themselves to tell you how much more they support the manager than you. How much better they are as supporters than you. Basking in their own glory and making damn sure everyone knows about it. It's no longer enough to think Keith Hill is a good manager, you've got to think he's a perfect human being in every possible way and if you don't shout it from the rooftops at every opportunity it's just not good enough.

Really pleased for the lads today and the manager. Feel pretty repulsed as a human being reading this board.

Is that some sarcasm which I couldn't detect in writing, or a serious comment?

You may be right in a sense ryhill, the points tally might not be much different - but if you think we'd be playing anywhere near the open, good-quality attacking football that we're playing now under Robins, then I remember a totally different type of manager.

I was speaking with one of the lads I went with outside the ground today, and even if we finish the season in a similar position and points tally to previous seasons, I will have enjoyed the games and the football a damn sight more this time around.

I generally agree with Jay's point about one-upmanship etc, but this board is insufferable when we lose.

I didn't mean that you did - I meant that even if we end up on the same points tally, I'll have enjoyed the style of play considerably more.

My honest opinion is that had Robins stayed we'd be bottom 4 right now at best. I remember at the relegation party last year commenting to my brother that I had a nasty feeling the boot would be on the other foot twelve months later. Whether it would have been is all conjecture, but given where we finished under Robins with a decent budget, the subsequent cuts and Robins' admission that he pretty much felt that he would not be able to take th club forwards under the new constraints all suggest that had he stayed we would have struggled badly this season. Just my opinion of course.

We'd have played 5-5-0 at Leicester, certainly not gone after them like we did today.

Each to their own, though. :)

I think we'd be bottom six, playing dire football and we'd be moaning about the usual collapse post Xmas.

I think you are wrong , last season we never ever looked like we were going down, before last season started that is what everyone wanted, then when it happened , a loud portion of fans, mainly on here, moaned about it. Yet everyone that I had spoken to that supported Rotherham told me how Robins set his teams out. Same as he did here. Surely Cryne knew this when he set him on? If not , why not?
I have seen some good football this season, but I have also seen some absolute garbage too, lets not forget that!

I think so too, although we'll never know

But I think we're playing much more entertaining football under Hill, so I'm pleased we made the change even if I didn't like the circumstances. I've enjoyed the games more this season.

I much prefer the football under Hill than we had under Robins Far better to see us win one game 4-3 and then lose 5-3 than 1-0 and 2-0 for example. Today we could easily have had 4 but for some wasteful finishing and excellent goalkeeping.

I don't like this board as much as I used to win or lose many of the more interesting posters don't come here anymore and we have quite a few who seem more interested in getting reactions than actually having genuine discussion

It's not often all three relegated clubs get cut adrift and all go down on such a low points total. In the end we were safe and didn't look like going down but last season was painful to watch at times. I don't think there will be any relegation worries this season either but the journey towards safety has been significantly more enjoyable.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

I've always thought Keith Hill is a genius. The way he only slightly moves his lips when Orville talks is brilliant.

That is Keith Hill, isn't it?

Anyway, I'm a proper fan and I'm great. How did young Mitch Ward play?

I agree with that especially the extent to which some posters go to with regard to the manager. Chef Tyke gave a possible reasoning, in his opinion, as to Keith Hill`s pre-match interview yet was jumped on by a couple of posters who didn`t even read correctly what he had put. They then did a U turn Maggie would have been proud of and agreed with him after they had actually read it.

Have said it before this board goes to the extremes after each result, it lacks middle ground.

Has being a football fan become so bad that you just cant like what the manager produces you have to love him as a person too.
