Although I feel your question is very tongue in cheek ilkl have a go at giving you an answer. We would be in a similar situation as I don't think hill is one for *****ing money away on expensive short term loan signings but will look at building a settled squad full of hard working players who will give it their all and have a rd sale value to boost the coffers
I don't know if we'd be much better off but it would be nice to be able to give Hill some good money if he needed it - for a real crack at the play offs maybe. Always makes me laugh when Robins gets linked with clubs who are unlikely to have a bigger budget than he had with us.
The expensive loan signings that Robins made were actually good signings. We just didn't need them. However, it's the chairman that controls the purse strings and I'm sure if he offered Hill some money to spend he'd bite his hands off. All managers spend money when they can. Some just spend it on *****.
What was Robins net spending? Campbell-Ryce Hamill Bogdanovic and Shackell (was about to be sold) all left during his tenure.
