.............and we will be in the playoffs this season. And if we do miss out this season then we will be in the playoffs next season for sure. Especially when you realise that Keeflicker will have had a full season then in the Championship to gain experiece. So why why why..........dosent the directors release a bit of money for him. I'm not talking millions apon millions, I'm just talking about enough to get things moving. Every manager that has been at the club since Pat Cryne has been in charge has thanked Pat for his support......except one, and thats Hill.......who coincidently is the biggest managerial talent we have had at the club for decades.
The reason is that Mr Cryne is due in court on fraud charges so pumping more money into the club is not on his priority list. But neither is finding new owners it seems...
I wouldn't be so sure about that. The way I understand it, Cryne is keen to sell but only to the right people - ie those with the club's best interests as heart, who will try to take us forwards without jeopardising the our long term future. I would guess that such people are quite thin on the ground.
In any case, I can't see him pumping more money in any time soon. We MUST break even this season. Because he might not be available next season
We don't have "money to play with". How else would you like to see the club raise this "money to play with"?
At some point there must be money released for Hill......its a sound investment ..........because whoever puts money in is very likely to get it back either through the playoffs this season or next season. And if Keeflicker doe's take us up, which they will do if given time, then its jackpot time.......for the town, the club, the fans AND the owners
Re: At some point there must be money released for Hill......its a sound investment Spending money guarantees success? See Leicester City.
Re: At some point there must be money released for Hill......its a sound investment The reason Hill was given the job in the first place is precisely because of his ability to produce teams with no money. We do't have the money to give him, and if we did it's likely they'd have brought someone else in.
Jack Jack Jack..........the point is.......... .........the present management team at BARNSLEY..........that is to say....not the management team at Leicester
Yes !!! .....if that also gives the club, the town and the fans some joy and success I hope Pat Cryne makes £££ millions out of Barnsley Football Club. I dont think he will, but I hope he does.

It's nothing to go with the manager if the owner sells up to make a fortune. That's hardly a prescription for a secure future is it?
Re: Yes !!! If Wendy fail to go up they could be back in the ****. Sheffield united are in the ****. Leeds are not sparkling money wise. Doncaster are losing millions a season. Bristol lost twelve million last season Reading had a wage bill of £20m until very recently. Ipswich were in a mess until they role wickham Portsmouth are on the edge. Birmingham are in the ****. The parent company darent release the accounts as they are not good reading with the owner looking at bird Coventry are treading water with admin just around the corner. Forest have been told by their chairman that he is tightening the strings. Leicester have spent twenty million and will be in **** if they fail. Watford are living on the money generated by player sales. I se your point about chucking money about.
But its not that simple - Hill is doing a great job with the resources availlable and has clearly built a great team spirit. He had no money to spend at Rochdale either What we dont know is how good he would be at spending the money if he had it -look at what happened with Gudjeon no money at all and we were outperforming all expectations. spent some money in January and we started dropping like a stone Look at the lack of success Roy Hodgeson has had with big clubs as opposed to clubs where he had to work on a tight budget. Not saying Hill wouldnt do even better if he had some funds but its not guaranteed its irrelevant anyway as there isnt money to release - only Crynes personal money and various posters above have explained why that wont happen
