That only came about by the sale of players. Leeds is an absolute mess. Still ken Bates is being kept in flights every week end.

Nudger that's just toss. Extra money for players would mean players who'd only come to Barnsley if they were on a decent wedge. I suspect there's a pretty tight wage structure at Oakwell, with not too much disparity between the top & bottom earners. That means instant dressing room bairnin' if some charlie comes in on more than the present mob. And THAT means an unhappy ship and the loss of any momentum we've built up. Use yer noggin lad.

Agree with all points above, but nobody has mentioned the fact that this team is far from ready to hold it's own in the Prem. It's good that we are talked of as challengers for a play-off place - that's a sign of how positive things are and how far we have come in half a season. Build this season, then give it a serious go next year .......... and hopefully back them with decent crowds.
If this team went up now it would be a disaster for the club and the town and we would plummet through the leagues quicker than you can say "Wednesday and Blunts in the mire"

    Why? .

He's done a fantastic job without any money; he was brought in to work on a budget, he knew that, and thats exactly what he's done. Is there any need to give him any more than what he's got to work with now? Doubtful.

Ooorr fook it then..............best bet here..........

..................is for Pat to kick the door off the dressing room and storm in and tell Keef and Flicker and the first team that they are all a set er toss.ers and they are going to have their money docked.......cos we ant got nowt.

Why?.......because us TARN folk have voted on here and said loud and clear.......... we never have had owt, we've always been at the bottom of the barrel, and we dunt want owt nar.

And if we do get owt (by accident) we go out into the street and throw it darn the nearest drain cos we all want to live like our hero.......Billy Casper

    YN, why should he?

Why don't you sell your house and give all your money to BFC?

BFC has to be a self funding operation. Get some mates to come and watch, the only way we'll have more money is if we get more bums on seats.
