Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere that shows the size of the budget of the different teams in this division this season?

Probably not, we all know how cagey football clubs are regarding their spending, undisclosed fees etc. Be interesting to see one though.

Our budget this season was £1.3 milion.

Leicester had a budget of £28.5 million.

    West Ham £14 million.

    There's your comparison.

what do you mean by Budget
    Wage budget
Or budget that he can spend. There was an article in a paper and it said in there that hill had spent 2 million. that was on wages, transfer fees, signing on fees and other things.

It was in a newspaper article ponty72. there was a thread about it on friday/ saturday.

It's not hard to guess what people have spent ect either.
Barnsley's wage budget is about 8 million.
so if you look at the 2 figures, 9/9.5 million spent this year which will be break-even.

The budgets differences even in this league are crazy. Looking at the other teams spending power i think it makes what Hillcroft have done so far extremely impressive

    Blimey...

So wages will be reduced from the £6-8m mark of previous seasons to £1.3 ? That would be impressive.

If we have a squad of 20 players that would be £65,000 per annum each.

I'd GUESS at about £3-4m on wages at least... note GUESS. I'll not find out until the 2012 accounts are published in early 2013.

Don't agree HT. Donnie are signing Diouf and other 'big hitters' who don't come cheap.

We had a wage bill of around £6m so I can only see that reducing

That was the funds allocated for transfers. Wages are in a completely separate bracket.

They aren't earning that much according to doncaster's John Ryan and he said it before he went to the keepmoat.

The interview was one with Seth from radio sheffield.

I really can't see them paying out more than us.
I also think Don R from the club indicated a similar amount on we are barnsley radio.

Not according to Mackay when we met him at Donny. Can't remember the specifics but he was talking about basics of 6K, 8K a week. Then accommodation etc etc.

Was certainly different to what had been said in the press!
