I won't. I don't see what purpose it serves tbh. Other than firing the belly of said player. For example - Darius Henderson. Now, the chants of a comical nature I am happy to partake in. 'One Greedy Barsteward' etc. But there is just something about booing that says 'moron' if you ask me. But, this is Oakwell, home of the boo, where some of 'us' even boo our own lads during the game, and even had the temerity to boo the new squad and management 30 minutes into game two this season. We all know he'll get booed, so I just wondered if you were going to be having a go. If I had my way, we'd give him a standing ovation, or completely ignore him - now that would play with his pretty head. Thankyou
If people want to boo him for him being treated like Brian Howard by our board of directors, more fool them.
Wasn't like that at all, Shackell walked in and said I've agreed a contract with Derby, let me know when you have sorted the transfer fee out. Disgusting when he had 2 years left and was captain. Derby then made bids of 200k, 300k, 400k etc until we told them make it 1 mill and you can have the judas, which is what happened.
me un all ponty. me an the lads will be givin him some proper chants an stik. he deservs to get booin.
Really? So you're saying that Shackell and Derby county broke strict football league rules and not only did they do that but they admitted it quite openly to the club who was the victim of this serious rule breach? That's not what I heard by the way and not what Mark Robins hinted at when he left either.
No he's not and neither is Supertyke, but eh ho just make it up as you go along, it all adds to the intrigue
What is the point? The guy showed during his brief stay at Barnsley that he was not particularly interested in us; viz. being the first to leave the pitch. He came for the money, and went for more. He is the typical football mercenary that we have tolerated since Boesman (Sp.) and things will not change until we have an England left winger plying his trade as a plumber when he's not playing football at the weekend (or in Barnsley's case selling Kelzone).
He has never stuck around at any of his clubs very long. My info came from the Don himself. I supose he could have lied but why would he have to, he spoke about it among many other things and I believed it 100% - I didn't ask him about Shackell, he just came onto it whilst talking about one or two things. I did think that him and Derby should have been reported, but this sort of thing probably goes on loads of the time anyway.
I can't see ANY benefit to BFC of attempting to cover this up if it was true. In fact I think that if the club did cover it up and go along with it then our directors have acted highly irresponsibly and with very low morals. I dont think its true though personally and sincerely hope it isn't.
Maybe he was saving face??? If at all true don't you think we would have sued Derby for breach of rules, if only so we don't look like a tinpot club letting clubs walk all over use with rule breaking?
Make no bones about that KP. Endeavour, accolades, over-achieve. We will always be competitive, except when we are not, and then its the boo-boys fault. In this together. Team Barnsley
Who is Jason Shackell? Boo? He's not worth the waste of breath. Over rated. Just an average Championship CH.
