obviously there's lots of talk going round the board about if Vaz Te will be with us come Wednesday morning and just wondered what the general opinion was. would people rather sell him now, say thank you very much for the goals and take the money. Or would they rather us keep him till the end of the season allow him to leave for free but potentially get another 10 goals out of him? I know a lot would depend on how much we were offered but personally i'd accept anything over 350k

I think he's worth way more than 350k to us even if it's just for the rest of the season. How much is each place in the league table worth in prize money? I'm sure I remember reading once that it's about 45k a place. Could be wrong though.

Over half a million & thats good enough for me, no point keeping a player here who is showing contempt to a manager & club thats resurrected his career. Tara Ricardo old chap - dont be surprised if your career descends into oblivion after leaving us its happened time & time again to other former players.

From Leyton Orient forum regarding us buying Dawson. Sound familiar?

A decent offer would ser him sold if he fancies the move. The only concern i see is the continuing turnover of a players which as manager you don't want as it takes time to build up a team spirit and losing players breaks that up and can have an effect on team morale. But 200-300k is a good chunk of money for the club and in sure Hill backs himself to find a replacement.

Just remember people said we would struggle to replace Hammill..

Sell, as long as the price is right. If the 'derisory' offer was 100k I would keep him, he is worth more to us as a player than that. If it is getting up to 500k then we have to take the money. Can't afford not to. He is probably still worth more than that to us (what price is a 20 goal player?) but we need the money and we have to back Keef to replace him so the results don't suffer.

So are to demonize a player thats been a breath of fresh air so far this season?

The deal was a 12 month contract. Thus far Ricardo has done well for us & we have done well for him. We didn't pay a fee for a player who most of the time has me on the edge of my seat. His goals have been regular and mostly spectacular. He is simply weighing his options up, who can blame him for that. Neither player nor club are at fault here. I hope he continues banging them in for us until the end of the season. if not, thanks and good luck Ricardo.

if there was an option for "sell at the right price" i would have ticked that.

but I am happy to see him play until the summer and go for nowt than get next to nothing for him in january
