    Would they 'eck as like

Nobody will deny he scored one vital, vital goal in the game of his life v Chelsea, and for that he will always be a legend of sorts. But that was all the more special because it was him that scored it, having already done enough to ensure that he would be remembered as a laughing stock. I remember fans from other clubs watching the Chelsea game and saying afterwards "that no.9 looks handy," to which I said I'd love for them to come and take him. After Wembley they understood why.

Maybe the 20,000 or so who went to Wembley and didn't watch him week in week out will remember him mainly for that miss. Personally I'll remember him for another 20 odd misses and for not being able to hit a cows arse with a banjo.

The miss at Wembley is just one memory as is the goal against Chelsea but unfortunately I will remember him for 70 odd games of being a very poor striker, nothing more and nothing less.

I so wanted him to succeed too. Seemed a lovely bloke, maybe too nice? He was dog though. Always remember him for the Chelski goal though, cheers Kayo.

Edit - and on the Cup semi, we lost because we were **** on the day, not just KO.

I agree with you mate, he ius a great kid, just not a very good player at this level.

Cup semi, we nevr took the game to them, I think Davey over complicated it.Should just have gone out and played the same way as against Chelsea, instead of trying to devise a game plan to baffle Cardiff, he baffled our players. Pity really because we were capable of beating them and Portsmouth too.

offjob ruined my moment of glory, in the fap cup semi finals i was the commentator on sky's fan zone, i was going barmy when he broke free and when he'd shot i thought he scored until the fat welsh kid next to me pointed out that the tit had missed

agree with you there, can remember watching him on motd against liverpool when we'd got equaliser urging players to get behind ball. glad howard told him what to do.
in my opinion same thing v chelski players thought they could sense a win and abandoned his game plan.
the wembley loss was more to do with daveys tactics than kayode's miss.imo

You like the other fans gave him bad vibes resulting in his poor shooting the rest of his play was very good guaranteed to have a least one on one with the goalie every game.

They've signed Andy Keogh so I doubt he'll be going anywhere now.
