Post on twitter from Paul Walker...

Keith Hill post Derby. "not happy with what we got for Vaz Te. With the amount of money around these days what we got was poor money"

The Don says we're happy with what we got and the manager says the exact opposite. Good stuff.

Paul Walker asked Rowing how much we got but wouldn't say. Walker asked if it was nearer 250k or 750k and Rowing said "substantial six figures" so i'd assume nearer 750k. Although yet again the board is saying one thing "substantial six figures" and our manager is saying another thing not happy with what we got for him.

This substantial six figure sum.....Id be amazed if it's in excess of 250k. We just never ever seem to get a fee for our players that reflects their true value. The alleged 50k for Haynes was an absolute joke.
Because we have a reputation for selling our players on the cheap clubs obviously try it on and usually get away with it. Be very interesting what a tribunal sets for Butterfield,s transfer fee in the summer. 500k if we're lucky I reckon.

Add that he supposedly said he'd not got the backing he expected the other night... Mmmm. Be blackburn manager before long is my guess.

That's my big worry. I really don't see us hanging on to Hill beyond the summer. The guy is working absolute miracles on a shoestring. Some of our first half football tonight was a joy to behold.
Who we could get to replace him and get the same out of our mix of loans and lower league nobodies is anyone's guess? The dominance of modern day football by the greed of players and agents is really starting to disillusion me from the game.
Our beloved Reds are punching well above their weight but long term it can't and won't last.

It will be a major blow to us as a club if we lose Hill; I just hope that PC and the Don can see how important Hill is to our long term success. The problem is I can see Blackburn or Bolton coming in for him and that would be an easy choice for him IMO.

Its a possibility Blackburn or Bolton might come in for him ....if they are relegated and Hill gets us into a play-off spot otherwise absolutely no chance

And that's why we will continue to be a tin-pot championship club cos we have a tin-pot championship board. The sooner we have serious businessmen at the helm who really know the value of their product then the better if it ever happens! if it was 250k and not 750-mill then we shouldn't have sold vas te,full-stop! we a footballing business joke and its utter toss! BTW, i stand to be corrected by a statement from the board saying we got upwards of 750k for him however i fear that will be a long never-ending wait!!

This mornings Tweet from Paul Walker..

Barnsley boss Keith Hill tells @footballheaven that Ricardo Vaz Te has made mistake by joining West Ham. He's also not happy with the fee.
