    FFS People!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats John Terry done that bad that deserves all this attention and yet again the removal of him as the England Captain!

World Cup 2010 Qualification with Terry as Captain - Record almost 100% win ratio

Then the media hype just before the finals re John Terry & Wayne Bridges wife (Note: Timing of the news release by the tabloid press for best sales irrespective of the impact to the nations World Cup challenge!)

World Cup 2010 South Africa WITHOUT JT as captain! - Appalling performance

Euro 2012 Qualification with JT back as captain - Record almost 100% win ratio

And now just before the Euro Finals we start all it all over again!!!!!!!

So worst case scenario we are hindering Englands chances of Euro glory because of all the hype and attention around 1adjective that may or may not have been used in a confrontational spat on a football pitch!!!!!!!

Can it be deemed racist and if so what race was JT discriminating against....The English? Pretty sure had Ferdinand been Welsh the adjective would have been "Taffy", had he wore glasses then possibly "Speccy" and had he been fat then I presume "Fat" would have sufficed! Personally the additional word used (lovely person) would have better justification going to court and for spending the thousands in tax payers money ......That way the CPS could claim millions back from football's premier elite for foul and abusive language in public EVERY Saturday afternoon!

Well done Nation, we have truly proven with all the hype and todays action we do indeed discriminate!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Bah Bah Rainbow Sheep going to the fayre" ....REDICULOUS! (PS. Apologies if I have offended any rainbow sheep living in the world.)

In my opinion we have better centre halfs you need pace at top level these days so it shouldn't be an issue.

And do you think we would have done any better at WC with him as captain. He still played and was awful. Qualification is far easier than the tournament itself, no comparison really.

He could go around banging all his mates women, keep spouting racist drivel, and it wouldnt alter my opinion.
And that is, that he and Rio are not good enough to play for England anymore. Spain dropped their regular let-downs, and picked a TEAM/SQUAD. We should do the same. As have the Germans.
Cahill, Smalling, Jones, Jags, Lescott, Dawson and so on. All better than Terry. Shame we have a **** man in charge though

I can beat a 5 year old at tennis wearing red socks, but if I play Roger Federer whilst wearing green socks I wouldn't win a point.

Obviously it's the socks that make the difference.

Also what he is alleged to have said is clearly racist and your attitude is pretty distasteful.

The FA have a campaign to "kick racism out of football", John Terry is charged with racial abuse - I'm not sure how clearer that could be.

Before you start with "innocent until proven guilty", it is no different to many areas where people are suspended from their jobs pending a court case.

You have a very bizarre notion of what is and isn't important and what is and isn't acceptable.

It shouldn't have taken the FA to reach this point. Terry should have had the decency and common sense to make a statement that while he maintains his innocence, he was stepping down as Captain for the benefit of the squad as a whole to avoid potential conflict in the run-up to and during the Euros. Decency and common sense. You do the maths.

Unfortunately mate I take it from his 'rant' that he isn't making any philosophical point about the notion of innocence and the burden of proof, but that he doesn't think racism is an important issue

Have any of the team asked him to step down in which case I would have agreed?

Thanks for assuming what my beliefs are pal, pretty sure you I don't need someone without all the facts making judgement!

Too true racism is important needs to be dealt with & if proven that racial hatred was truly intentional then more than a fine of £2500 will be needed against anyone ... As can be expected if JT is found guilty!

It's all aload of balls IMO the FA's hand has been forced by the PC brigade. If JT did call Ferdinand anything nobody can tell me that in his 26 years of life it's the 1st time Ferdinand has been called anything racist.

Jesus f***in Christ. Like you say... FFS mate!

Leaving aside my view that John Terry is a dog sh*t footballer who isn' tworth a place, is an even worse human being who must not be allowed to represent our national team (let alone captain them), and leaving aside the fact that his 'performance' in qualifiers is completely unrelated to the subsequent 'performance' of the team in major tournaments (ref: every England team that has ever competed in a major tournament).

The man is accused of one of the dirtiest, shittiest acts that a human can be accused of. It's not overreaction, it's the sane, responsible reaction of people who are appalled that such sh*t can go through the minds of human beings in this day and age. It's all about respect for a fellow human being, be that racism, sexism, homophobic abuse or just bullying. Not only is he accused of such actions, but we've all seen the footage that proves what a subhuman piece of crap he really is. Again. Again.

The fact that a court has adjourned his hearing for reasons completely unfathomable does not mean he is 'innocent' until he is proven guilty. At the very best he is guilty of repeating, and therefore to some extent exacerbating, a vile, vile accusation. If someone accused you of a similar act, would you reply by repeating it?

But of course, any support for such a view will be met by the catch-all 'PC gone mad' accusation. Is it just too much to assume that some people are just pig f***ing sick of living in a world where people can get away with this kind of crap scott free, and even be served as exemplars to the rest of us?

So yes, for me he should have been stripped of the captaincy, but then he should never have had it in the first place. He should be tried in a court of law and sentenced appropriately if found guilty, most certainly including a ban for life from all football grounds. Regardless of the outcome, he should answer the FA's charge, which differs from the criminal charge. And if after all of that they decide "he meant no harm", he should be fined by the FA for being a silly tw*t for even repeating the words he did (and Anton Ferdinand charged too).

Unless you hadn't guessed, I couldn't be further away from your view!
