    By the way

I'm a big follower of snooker, so for me to say this is boring is saying something.

    Re: By the way

Love it! Gutted it's the end of the season after tonight.

Fantastic spectator sport, but needs a bit of effort to understand it.

I hardly notice it these days - it's just a part of the game. I find Rugby League far more annoying to watch in terms of the stop-start nature of the game.

Watched it live at Wembley a couple of times and the 3 hours seemed to fly by both times.

The end to that game had a lot of what's unique and great about this game. One team trying not to score too quickly so as not to take the lead and give the other one too much time to score again. They then totally fail to do this, one guy scores when he's trying not to, and the game goes right down to the final play as a result!

NFL rocks! Alas, no more meaningful games until September now.

To be honest I'd forgotten that heavily armoured men in ridiculously tight trousers were playing an important game of catch and tig.

    Who won?

Was Madonna more butch than all of them put together?

Me too HT, I think its complete tosh. I think I've only ever watched about ten minutes and that was back in the 80'S when the refrigerator played. I realised within the said ten minutes that it was absolute cack and I've never watched since.

Superbowl = chat show with sports clips

Shot of pitch, hup, throw, tackle and back to studio. 5 seconds of action 5 minutes of talking about it. Repeat ad nauseum.

Must be one of the worst spectator sports to watch. No wonder it hasn't caught on anywhere else.

Superb game. Chess with people, war without the casualties, poker with bruises - it's the ultimate physical combination of of strategy and athleticism.

A game of skill played in heavy contact where the guys get back up and don't roll around for ten minutes. Watch a repeat of the SuperBowl from start to finish and see how you feel after a full game. BBC paid 600,000 to show it, St Louis Rams are coming to Wembley for the next three years to play an home game, and SuperBowl L is expected to be in London in four years time. L is 50 in roman numerials BTW.

My lad loves it and got me to watch it with him, I've got to be honest and say I got bored (or tired) half way thru it, I wouldn't class it as ***** tho just not for me,
