I don't know any details of the case so won't claim to have a view on whether that's the correct decision or not - i'll go with the jury.

But I'm pleased with the verdict as it surely paves the way for him to take the England job in the summer, and I might even become interested in watching a Redknapp England team.

Do you know what, I started this trial thinking finally something was being done about tax evasion by the wealthy. But as its gone on, and through BFC Dave's excellent informed points, I can't help but think this whole trial has been a farce and it must question the competency of the authorities who chose to bring a multi-million court case, based on such a small amount, which has failed, in the same year as they wrote of £6bn in tax from Vodafone.

Just been reading the Pig boards to read their reactions to the news and came across other posts regarding their result last night against a proper team, not bitter are they? or maybe they are just realising now they are not so massive...

Started the day in the dock and may end the day as England manager.

Fair enough, all about opinions. I think the key attribute for an England manager is to motivate a team whilst encouraging them to play open, attacking football. We may well lose that way, but at least I'll enjoy watching them. You can't deny Redknapp has a good track record for both of those aspects, regardless of whether you like the bloke.

But very good point re: Keegan - you'd have expected similar from him, and that didn't turn out too well did it?

But that result was as predictable as a Not_Keith_Hill tweet. Nailed on the get away with it, 'Arry's got one rich pooch.

I don't think tax evasion by the rich will be top of a Tory governments agenda! They have much more important things to tend to like getting the fox hunting bill put to vote again so their chums can spend the weekend tearing poor defenceless animals to bits

I had to pay £2550 tax back because of a mistake by HMRC,One rule for the rich, one for the poor.
