I'm through to an assessment centre day with the firm later in the month and it would be great to talk to someone who already works for the company and get a bit more insight into the company

    TIA

I worked for them from 1995-2000 (they merged during that time to become PwC) and still have some links with them. Happy to assist where possible, but might not be totally upto date.

Assurance is the new name for audit. I worked there for 3 years in the Leeds office, then transferred into Business Recovery.

Ironically, I had a meeting this afternoon with a former colleague, who is now Head of Assurance for the North, and is based in Leeds.

So i'm guessing that person in essence would be my boss if I got the job. would you be able to give me some pointers, on stuff like who the big clients of the leeds firm are, any current big issues in the field off assurance that I might not be obviously aware off. Any other little tips bits of information that you think might help me get through the assessment centre

PM me with a bit about your background and I'll try and help out. e.g. Are you planning to study ACA or are you going in at AAT level? What process have you been through so far to get on the assessment centre?

It's changed now. Thanks for pointing that out. Explains why it's been quiet on that front for a while!
