A total disgrace. Does the Don thinking he will save money by not putting on the underground heating, forgetting that a midweek attendence will bring less Brum fans than for a Saturday match. Friends of mine came up from the south to watch the match plus various supporters I know locally, who have spent good money getting to Barnsley, for a "frozen pitch". We are a joke.
Think you all need to take it up with a higher authority......How is it in any way the clubs fault that it was cold last night?
the pitch was described as a little hard in parts, not all of it. either the system is faulty or it was turned on too late
It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. Why has the undersoil heating failed to keep all of the pitch from being frozen?
this gets better. do you have this on authority, because it wasn't common knowledge. don't you think the club should have issued a statement warning fans travelling a fair distance, that there was a possibility it could be in danger of not being playable.
Re: It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. Because by the sound of it it's broken and IT WAS COLD ! It's not a total disgrace now is it ?
Re: It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. Maybe its the incessant watering that's lead to excess ice?
Re: It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. i got told it really only has an affect on temps less than -6 it was -11 apparently
Re: It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. got told at ground about heating, temprature was -13 at pitch level
It is very frustrating and in some ways is a disgrace for a club at our level to fall foul of the weather in this way but from what I've heard the Don can't be blamed.
Re: It's a perferctly logical question to ask.. I never said it was a total disgrace or anything else, my point is all about communication, or the lack of it. Why leave fans speculating and risk the bad feeling that this has caused when a simple explanation of what's happened would've satisfied most.
It's getting colder and colder It'll have been -64 by the time the day's out. Polar bears spotted in the Ponty End bogs. Eskimos camping out in the East Stand.
Why what you heard? For all we know he could have insisted that we didn't turn the heating on too early as a cost saving exercise - allegedly lol.
Eskimos ate all the pies, Eskimos ate all the pies.. sing when your sealing, you only sing when yoy're sealing.
