I left work in Hull at 12.40 and got to oakwell at 1.50 to find it had been called off at 12.45. Was it given out on radio sheff on the 1pm news or after then? I never dreamed of putting it on due to our undersoil heating and the fact that it was bright sunshine and +4 in Barnsley. It was still -1 in Hull and loads of snow, no snow at Barnsley at all. Proper gutted, let alone the £20 in fuel. I turned down some free tickets for Hull City this morning as well, couldn't be bothered to rush back and pay £25 to watch it. I really feel let down that the game has been called off, surley the pitch can't be that bad when Hull City are playing and the weather is colder in Hull! Something not right for me, once again it makes us look very league 1!!!
I live in Selby, checked club website at 12 saw apitch inspection was due so did not set off,SIMPLES.
I find it a little odd that a game can go ahead 25 miles north of us and 15 miles south of us. Did this particular pocket of Barnsley have considerably colder temperatures than the rest of the region then?
lol, its the clubs fault it fecking freezing...... some people just can't wait to have a pop at the club
