Only two of tonight's lineup started away against Burnley last season.... or in the final game against Millwall. Is this a better side? 39 points after 29 games. Last season: 40 points after 29 games. There's only one goal in the GD's too!
It's a transitional side and far more entertaining; also put together for far less so pound for pound it's a better team IMO.
You can see what this team is trying to achieve its not complete but its developing. Last season it looked like 11 players thrown together without any game plan.
It didn't to me Nothing like. It wasn't quite as entertaining as it has been this year, but there was definitely a game plan. It was usually to frustrate the opposition and nick a goal. Worked quite well for the first half of the season, not so much in the second half.
Re: It didn't to me I failed to remember the negative game plan from what I could see we started off ok nocked ball about bit but slowly became rubbish I'm not sure how the season finish because I didn't bother going.
Re: It didn't to me It's the most frustrating side I've seen for ages. We can go from brilliant to rubbish in the blink of an eye. We are disjointed. Inconsisten and above all, a cirus act at the back.
Re: It didn't to me You do know you are not allowed to say anything that may seem to give any credit to Robins, don`t you?
Second half of last season was pretty crap But there was nothing wrong at all with the first half. Got ourselves in a good position in the league, won plenty of games, it was pretty good. I was never Robins' biggest fan, but he was alright, a hell of a lot better than the majority on here give him credit for. Most people talk like we're a revelation this season when in actual fact we were doing just as well last season. I think we've had a few more good performances this season, but it's more like a gentle progression than a revolution. Let's just hope the wins don't dry up like they did last season.
No he was crap. everyone is supposed to know that and Hill is GOD , apparently having your own opinion is frowned on now! Got to write "In Hillcroft we trust" every other post too.
Re: It didn't to me So, two questions: 1. Are we any further forward as a club? 2. In another twelve months will there only be two of this team turning out? I think the remainder of this calendar year could be potentially momentous. Mr Cryne's problems and what comes after could have a huge bearing on whether we progress or head towards non-existence.
Re: It didn't to me Shackell wasn't bad, Haynes was a bloody good player, O'Brien isn't doing too bad for us, Doyle was a very good signing.
