is it the new band of supporters who jumped onto the bandwagon in premiership????? we never moaned at aldershot, halifax, etc on a friday night and there was less than a 100 of us. the difference i feel in the club is no communication and players that don,t appreciate us as supporters. very frustrating at times
Because we've got a band of prissy littlke ******* who think they have a right to know the ins and outs of every aspect of BFC and its employees, that any player or manager of BFC isn't a human being, more like a footballbot here to serve us and take all associated stick without question, and they have an astounding sense of entitlement that they should never ever be offended, disappointed or otherwise left anything other than orgasmic at anything BFC or individuals associated with it do.
The internet did it, now everybody wants to find out everything the second it happens. We used to be content with waiting for the Chron on a Friday to see what was going on, the only moaning you got was in the pub or a few letters in the Chron.
Partly that but when there were 100 of us at Aldershot the players were only earning slightly more than the Average Joe, I think in general more peopel had more patience with footballers and coudl accepet poor performances more easily. Now they earn far more than the average joe on average and the costs add further expectations too.
The moaning started when football players started earning stupid amounts of money. It's sickening football players can earn more in a week/month than men and women in the armed forces, emergency services etc make in a year. Guys at championship level should be earning 500 quid a week max, which is obviously not the case despite it being enough to live off. Too many football players show little loyalty and only think of themselves. They also happen to act like they have a god given right to earn quick cash with the "we have a short career" line, like they are unable to carry on working somewhere else when their footie career is at an end.
They moaned at the cup parade in 1912, my gran'faffer couldn't see because of all the top hats, "those feckers weren't there at Royal Engineers away & Wanderers" he kept saying.
Balls I've had a season ticket since 1985 and I can't remember a game that I haven't moaned at. I even moaned versus Bradford in 1997. BOOOOOO!!!! BOOOOO!!! Bloody rubbish.
FANTASTIC point about the short career DB. I've been hearing that for years and wondered why no one else felt the same as me. It is a short career, but also one that affords players loads of free time to educate themselves. As such the short career reasoning holds no water for me when used as justification for the massive wages.
Totally agree, young sir <img src ="http://gifsforum.com/images/gif/clap%20clap%20clap/grand/star_trek_clap_clap_gif.gif">
Ah, so it's exclusive BFC fans, there must've loads of us at Hillsbro tother neet Coz when the final whistle went you could hear boos ringing loud and clear on radio dee dar. Was it Reds fans that were responsible for the car park demonstrations at Bramall lane and the flooding of the air waves on dee dar when Blunts appointed Danny Wilson? Was it Reds fans booing in the away end after the first half against Derby? To listen some on here, we are the worst fans in the country and every other ground in the country is full of positivity beyond belief. Its always the same on here and its predecessor forum in that there can only be the 2 categories, the Rose-tinted specs brigade v the doom mongers, all view points are either one or the other and once your in one you can't be in the other. When I visit other fans forums the trend appears to be the same, so lighten up we are no different from the majority of other clubs fans. Its not unatural for the board to be OTT with positivity when we win or negativity when we lose. Just another point, if i were to post the most regular comments I hear about the club, from the local pubs etc, I would deffo be put in the doom-mongers camp
125 years ago Fecking priest, what does he know about football? "this 3-2-5 formation will never work", " fa cup winners in 25 years time my arse!"
Was Iley Out the manager at the time? Football fans didn't used to moan my big, fat, hairy, spotty arse. When I first started watching in the 70s I thought me dad had taken me to grumbling convention.
Spot on. Just like the arguement about players moving to earn an extra £10k a week when they're already on £150k a week.
