Great game against Brummie.......but a note to Don Rowing

Don Don Don...........please lets have Cotterill on at least a 3 year contract from tomorrow. Dont let us wait until he walks for nowt. Top player and one that is going to go far at the WELL

Well, what a game tonight against Brummie...........I thought we were fantastic. And we only lost against a terrible slip up in defence (can some folks at long last now see what we lost when Shackell went for peanuts) and some excellent finishing from a really decent Birmingham side. They had 3 top players out there tonight. Centre forward, right winger and the guy in the middle with the black hair.
But although they are just out of the Premeirship we more than matched them in many areas. And we could have won it if the lines man hadn't ruled Done offside.
I thought all our players did great.........even McEverly who obviously was up against a big talent tonight.
First time I've seen Digby...........OMG !!!..............that lad has got Premeirship footballer stamped all over him.
Davies.........get ready for some big bids for Davies in the near future,
    Daggers........will come good

All in all a much better performance than the one against Pompy and even tho we lost a much better game to watch than the one against Pompey

Overall I agree with you... I think the Reds did quite well tonight for periods and matched Bham a lot of the time. Done was never offside either!! The second half tactics of hoofing the ball up to Davies smacked of lack of thought however. As for Digby, it was the first time I've seen him and he looked really good. If he plays like that now then great for the Reds in a year or so....

You must have had an even better session than normal pre-match in the Groggers and Bramah's - McEverley was beaten at will in their constant attacks down the right hand side, the source of two of their goals.

No.........less beer last night. Just the two in East Dene.........Burke

..........was one of the best players i've seen at the WELL this season.
McEverly struggled to keep him quiet.
I thought Keeflicker should have brought Golbourne on earlier to see if he could match Burke for speed - but when Golbourne did come on he was only on the field for 10 minutes and Burke created their 3rd goal.
So you cant just blame McEverly...neither McEverly or Golbourne were getting much protection from their team mates - e.g. Done wasn't getting back as much as he should have under the circumstances and threat that Burke presented

I know what you mean but do it too often and you go down. So you need a balance.
