Keith Hill admits that he only went to coventry with the aim of getting a draw and a clean sheet. He believes that attempting to score a goal was wrong and cost us the game. Pathetic Keith, utterly pathetic. If I didn't have a season ticket I would not pay to watch another game all season as I have no interest at all in watching my team try to play out a nil nil draw.
Strange comments from him. I wouldn't have taken a goalless draw. I would on many occasions this season but I really think today was a game we could have won comfortably. Very negative approach.
given we have kept only 2 clean sheets away from home-Forest and Millwall -both 0-0 draws-it maybe wasn't the best strategy??
let's see how this a ll sits when the season ticket renewals come out. there will be 8k at oakwell next season.
Perfectly valid argument and I don't necessarily disagree but its hardly disgraceful. Playing for a draw away from home is a valid tactic and nearly worked
Unless you go a goal down early and then plan B involves lumping it long and hoping for the best.Negative.
How can u say that. We've just lost to a poor coventry team, who are in the bottom three struggling with confidence. I love my team as much as the next reds fan but come on. We should have gon to coventry for the aim to get three points. I'd rather loose one nil knowing we've had a go than sat back with ten men behind the ball.
I think given our mid-table position we should have gone and been positive today but I respect his right to go for a draw. I really just don't like this attitude of complete indignity at a tactical decision I don't necessarily agree with
Just stay away. Rip up your ticket and don't renew. Go shopping. Ask yourself who the pathetic one really is. Jesus.
and are you saying that to the other 8000 or so fans who go. sooner or later it will be down to 7k then 6k, no matter how much positive bile you spout.
You'd rather lose 1-0 than draw 0-0? I personally would have taken the game to them, but given our record against Coventry, the fact we've lost our 3 best players and that we haven't drawn in a billion games then yes, if someone had offered me a draw prior to kick off I would have taken it. Lots of much better teams than us play for a draw
That's not true though is it. Playing to lose is not valid, playing to win a point, regardless of context, is valid. You might not have thought it was the right tactic, and I agree, but it is valid and certainly isn't disgraceful.
