I've just printed off BFC accounts for the year ended 31st May 2011 (last season) published on 28th Feb 2012 (on time) I've not had chance for a good look but a quick summary is Turnover £11m Total wages costs £8m loss after player trading £250K Whilst these figures are not great there is not a significant deterioration. Also the level of support that PC gives appears not to have increased when compared to the previous year. There are loans owing to PC of £2.6m (slightly down) and a share subscription of £1m (unchanged). PC has also personally guaranteed an overdraft facility to the tune of £1.9m. It will be interesting to see how the rationalisation of costs in the current season will impact on the figures for 2012 and whether this will help the club move towards self sufficiency I've only had a quick look and will digest them more over the weekend.
I assume all salary costs are together - ie on and off field ? Be interesting to see a comparison of turnovers with other Champ clubs, and in our own case to see where the turnover comes from - matchday/corporate/other activities etc.
Thanks for that Dave. Obviously the Vaz Te and Haynes fees won't be included. Will the Shackell money also be in that? The club is also cutting its wage bill and i imagine McEverley,Doyle and Gray to be released this Summer. Will any of the above make any difference for the following 12 months Dave?
I would guess that any money made from Shackell sale would be in this years accounts as he left after 31st May 2011.
I think you may find I said that the CURRENT wage bill is likely to be less. These figures are for year to May 2011
It's just been on the news that Coventry and Birmingham haven't returned theirs on time and now have transfer embargos placed on them. Tut tut.
