Guys, we need to step back a moment. It must be soul destroying to see the mediocre results, performances, crowds and so on after a promising first half of the season. Frustration needs to be vented and there are definite entities out there that deserve the full heat of our disgust.

But before we lay into the manager, club, team, individual players, tactics, board and fellow supporters we need to focus on what is really behind this situation, the orchestrators of this extraordinarily uneven playing field the Championship and football at large has become. Yes, it's always been uneven and always will be but right now we all know it's dangerously so.

I am of course talking about the irresponsible football clubs out there who are trying to buy success they cannot afford and the football authorities that should be protecting the sport but are stepping back and letting it happen. This is the reason our season has been effectively ended prematurely and we all know it. We just have to remember it at all times.

We know we simply don't have the players to fairly compete and when the management team defied the odds and recruited/developed some decent players, they were taken from us in January by these corrupt mechanisms. The Danny Drinkwater loss epitomised this with Leicester unimaginatively and disrespectfully stockpiling players they shouldn't rightly be able to afford.

So please, let's turn our attentions away from our club, who are trying to do it the right way and the players who are pulling on the red shirt each week and throw our energy at the t***s in the game who are killing the sport and hurting our club. Their days are numbered. Each point we take this season represents our defiance.

Bang on unfortunately that's too much like common sense for the band of moaners who hang round here. I give you five names- Perkins Drinkwater O'Brien Butterfield Vaz Te -almost all midfield- what team, especially us, could cope with those losses and carry on racking up points? The gaffer deserves a medal in my book for having the spirit and focus to get on with it.
