I often said I hoped one day Rage Against the Machine would reform, they did and I saw them twice, same with Faith no More and Refused - seeing both at Sonisphere having been split since the 90s. Cannot wait!
Aye, another one of mine. But how would you blackmail Weller into doing it? Didn't really register with most, this thread! Another personal one of mine would be the Replacements and a reunion was touted some years back. stumbling block was that Tommy Stinson is on bass and the payroll of Guns n Roses and Axl wouldn't let him do it. The reason he is in Guns n Roses is because Axl is a massive Replacements fan. Whatthe****?
Re: Rem Let me know if you hear owt! Do Francis and Deal still not speak or did they bury the hatchet?
Re: Rem the breeders played some gigs again recently i think... both sister now off the drugs! i had to good fortune to see tanya donnelly at my local haunt the wedgewood rooms probably about 10 years ago now.... was amazing , could listen to seal my fate all day long
Re: Rem That must have been awesome mate. Seal My Fate, Now They'll Sleep, Super Connected - three of my all time favourite tracks.
Re: Rem As far as I know, they don't. Ever watched the 'LoudQUIETloud' documentary? They sit backstage and nobody in the band says a word to each other. It's quite sad really.
Re: Rem I suppose you could threaten to force-feed Peter Buck red wine and sleeping tablets then stick him on a plane.
It would be a one day festival in the Jericho Tavern, Oxford featuring the Purple Rhinos, Ride, Radiohead, Swervedriver and Rootjoose. I too would take Rachel Riley (i'd organise my event before yours, so I didn't have your skanky castoffs). I'd have a massive Uni reunion and relive the late eighties, early nineties.
Re: Rem Not seen that mate, will try and find it online. Sounds really interesting, I didn't realise that the whole band had fallen out with each other!
