There are NO excuses for such an inept display, none whatsoever. It's a good job Reading were asleep in the first half, goodness knows what the final score would've been otherwise. Why on earth play Rose, then abandon him up front without a team mate within twenty yards of him when he got the ball? What was the poor lad expected to do, take on the opposition by himself? Oh, and why play Davies on the right wing? Why not play him where he's more likely to score and give support to Rose? If someone's needed to play on the wing, why not play the winger (Cotterill) there? I'm sick to the back teeth tonight with our so-called team. Where's my red wine?
now I am very very worried if you are talking like this Mate! this now tells me the situation is dire.
I can always accept a defeat, mate Especially against a superior team. But it was the manner in which we lost today. I don't think I should say much more, as I might say something I later regret.
Thanks for that kev. I've missed today and I was waiting for your comments. 4 points from 27 tells its own story.
2 six footers on the wing and a midget (that's no disrespect to Rose) in the middle does anybody expect Hill to justify what must his most bizarre team selection yet, although ther may be even more to come.
Yes You know me, mate, I'm usually optimistic. I dare say I'm now answerable to the miserable tw@ts who'll be lining up to squeal "I told you so". Well, they can all **** off and I WOULD be prepared to say it to their face. Not a happy bunny this evening.
what worries me is that the manager seems now only to be trying to set us up not to lose, suggesting to me that even he has no faith in our ability to win a game of football. If he's got no faith then how the hell are we supposed to have any faith.
Re: I can always accept a defeat, mate I said at half-time "not sure how these are 3rd in the league - nothing special", Kebbe was the main threat. Then we never started in the second half and before you know it - 2 nil down, what goes on in that dressing room at half time???
ok then..lets get it outta yer system..."TOLD YA SO" there now use me as your whipping boy but please wear the boots
The only moment of pride I felt today, Dave Was with how well the minute's silence for the young lads killed in Afghanistan was observed.
Fully agree. He's started trying to play for points for some reason. Probably being that he's lost faith in the players he has left.
Re: Sorry mate walked at 2 nil, would have been 1 nil but conceeded so quickly couldn't get out quick enough, and don't think i'll be back till August now, there's nothing left to watch, best we can hope for is to frustate the opposition and hope for nil nil, absolutly nothing going forward, Rose n Done tried but there's nothing, Nouble is no better than 12mths ago, and the rest of the midfield are too defence oriantated to produce anything. i will be back in August but i fear a lot more wont be.
In light of the evening's unfolding events I feel totally embarrassed by my OTT postings of earlier. They were the ramblings of an utter drama queen. Football simply is not worth the frustration & angst that sometimes follows it. All I can do is apologise for my immature, infantile utterances.
