Anyone voted yet? Just gone for Luke Steele, about as consistent as we've had all year, not made many mistakes and had some great performances too. Would've probably gone for Butterfield, Vaz Te or O'Brien but they've not played enough games this season.
Its a short list of suitable candidates - add Drinkwater to your "not played enough games" and being realistic you have to chose between Steele and Davies - dont even think I can think of a 3rd contender
Steele, Perkins or Done imho. McNulty was on his way with some of his performances at centre back but of late he's been an absolute lovely person. Butterfield or Davies as an outside bet.
I've gone for McNulty, Perkins would've been my choice if he'd played more but he's had a few injuries. Steele is pretty close too, there's not much to choose between them three imo
McNutly's default position is jumping under the ball Then turning round and watching the opposition attackers head straight for our goal.
I couldnt decide between Wiseman, Addison, Dagnall or Maccavelli. So plumped for Butterfield. I think Steele and Perkins would be decent shouts too
Re: McNutly's default position is jumping under the ball At times at centre half this season he's looked top quality, then of late he's looked like I used to when I was playing. Learning curve s'pose.
No, what it shows is that our team has been ripped apart. As good as Perkins has being this season, he wouldn't be in the top three if Butterfield wasn't maliciously injured and Vaz Te, Drinkwater and O'Brien were still in the side.
Re: McNutly's default position is jumping under the ball McNulty has lost form at the moment, much like the rest of the team. Shouldn't allow it to detract from him filling the gap left by Shackell and having a good first half of the season. Wait, what am I saying? Nah he's terrible, just like Perkins and all the other tripe signings we've made. Some folk are trying way too hard to put a downer on everything. Lighten up. No doubt McNulty was the best centre back in the division and Perkins a rock in the middle of the park a few months ago. The Bipolar Bulletin Board strikes again.
Jacob Butterfield would have absolutely walked away with it if he wasn't robbed of his season by a thug. Ricardo Vaz Te would have been second, with either of Drinkwater, Perkins, Steele, O'Brien or Davies in third. But, seen as the squad has been torn apart by injuries and the obvious loss of Ricardo and Drinkwater, its anybody's guess. I reckon Jacob may just still win it.
Re: McNutly's default position is jumping under the ball Could be the strangest player of the year winner since Kevin Miller. Whoever gets it will only be getting it due to players either leaving us or being injured for long periods of time.
