How long before the team sponsors revolt? Back at the Beeb before too long let's hope! http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/mar/19/sky-australian-grand-prix
is the uk a major player in marketing and viewing though? i know the sky sports super sunday football matches only averages far fewer viewers than terrestrial tv would. no one seems to mind though!
That's official figures though....just how many are watching on streaming websites? All the F1 fans I know that don't have Sky still saw the race.
It will be even less viewers when they make it a stand alone pay channel, probably next season. Most of the viewers will be people who have already got skyHD or sports. How many will pay extra for it, not many I will bet.
Interesting points. I think the corporate sponsors would have a hard time justifying unofficial live streams to its shareholders in terms of logo/product exposure. As sky would to the organisations who have bought advertising space on the new channel. The bbc highlights package is another factor.
I'd watch it if it was back on the beeb But I much prefer the BTCC on ITV4, not as fast, but much more exciting. New season starts this sunday.
