In a way it will be sad to see them go as they might never come back much like S****horpe, and of course we lose a local game. For this reason I'd like to see both Huddersfield and The Fowls come up. I think the final spot is between Bristol and Coventry and I think I'd prefer Coventry to stay up even though they have been dying a (very) slow death since 2001.
I think the Rovers fans are starting to accept that, and now see that their experiment was never likely to work, like the rest of us did from the start. I wouldn't discount Portsmouth from getting out of it at all - of all the teams in the bottom 4 I think they're the ones who could pick up a few vital wins, especially when playing teams around them. An additional perspective - Pompey have the threat of more points deductions hanging over them for next season, and Coventry could well see the same. From our point of view, better they're in our division than not. I predict Donny, Coventry and then one of Pompey, Bristol City or Millwall to go down. Forest are still in a battle but I reckon they've got enough to pick up a couple of wins. Agree with you that Wednesday and Hudderfield to go up would be best result for us, games to look forward to.
Of those four teams Bristol seem to be the only ones not to show any form of late but I agree that Forest and Millwall are not safe. Bristol's saving grace is that they have to play us at home.
On one hand I would hate so see Portsmouth stay up, but being pragmatic if they were to survive and face massive points deductions next season then that would be in our best interests.
I'd like to see a Carlisle or Stevenage come up as it's nice when a little club overachieves like Posh, Scunny and Rotherham have to reach championship level before. As much as playing Coventry is one of the least glamouress matches of the season, i'd like them to stay up if we get rid of either Forest or Brizzle.
What happens to the experiment in League 1? Can't see Diouf wanting to play against The Dog & Duck, can see them slipping down 2 divisions in the next few years, they're also in financial trouble.
I'd like to see Donny stay up and Huddersfield and the fowls come up. Got to say though its looking bleak for Donny now. Got a feeling the Pompey will get out of it and what an injustice that would be.
being donneh born and raised and used to go as a kid to watch em i've mixed feelings, i like the "little club done good" but that john ryan hes just another warnock: what a tawt and the reason i wanna see em crash and burn. ( ex pikey moved from the donneh caravan into a mighty reds council bungalow)
Donny would need to win nearly all their remaining matches, I see manager Saunders is moaning about having to play nine games in march http://www.football-league.co.uk/ch...ers-fumes-after-rovers-defeat_2293322_2707395
