It was terrible. What I couldn't understand is you couldn't go back the way you came from. We parked in the car park so it was a simple walk to the away end. At full time we wanted to go back the same way but they had closed the big metal fence and instead made our fans who needed to get back to the car park walk past three sides of thousands of home fans walking towards us. No common sense at all.

We ended up turning right before the petrol station and ended up at the side of a car park with a small fence, we where told if we carried on walking that way we would be made to turn back by the stewards as it fetched us out at the home turnstiles. So we and about 40 other reds ended up walking back the way we came across the garage forecourt to start queuing almost 1/2 the length of the stand on a road that had puddles as high as the kerb to use 1 of 3 turnstiles.

I assume if we had been given the full stand we would have had more turnstiles however they coped in the Premier league with that Sunday league set up i don't know.

Agreed. I got stopped to have my ticket checked three times and had to give my postcode at the check-point before the turnstile. I thought getting in was bad but it was a doddle compared to getting out at the end.

We didn't have to give our postcode but I also had my ticket checked 3 times, once outside the ground, then once I'd walked up steps to the stand and then again when i got to the gangway, the steward that checked the ticket last told us where our seats where but didn't tell us to was right at the end of the row, so rather walking up the gangway next to the press box we had to interrupt everyone else on our row.

When purchasing a ticket at the ground they said they knew I was Barnsley because they could see red under my coat, like the red they saw couldn't have been anything other than our home top. I was asked for my postcode which they said was alright even though it's an Huddersfield one. They had seats in front of the restricted viewing posts that wouldn't fold out to be sat on if someone had been allocated that seat. Hardly any turnstiles were open which resulted in many fans not getting in until like 3:10. The whole set up made ours look good.

I can't even recall seeing any sign posts directing the way to the ground, they certainly need to improve the set up when they eventually build the stand. Also did anyone see the scaffolding at the far end of the stand? Overloaded with spare scaffold poles and planks never safe in a million years.

At one point I thought they were going to ask for my passport

Ask if anyone else had packed my bag for me and if I had anything to declare.

What made things better were the signs on the way in asking you not to bounce incase the floor fell through, not the most comforting sign when there's 1,500 people, half of which pissed out of their heads, crammed into such a small space for an hour and a half.

WE'LL BOUNCE IF WE WANT, WE'LL BOUNCE IF WE WAANNNNT, WE'RE BARNSLEY FC, WE'LL BOUNCE IF WE WANT.

Whats with the asking for a postcode?

I didnt go to Blackpool as I was away in France - but had I gone what would they have done if I had given them my Postcode for Farnham?

or what about Barnsley fans that live close to Blackpool - would they have been refused entry?

Never in all my years have I been asked for a postcode at the ground when I have a valid ticket.

I didn't know people where been asked what their postcode was. I've never seen as many stewards at any away ground. There was 2 checking tickets before the turnstiles some checking tickets at the turnstiles and then some more checking tickets before you actually got into the stand. Im suprised it was as calm as it was queuing with it pi.ssing it down as well

A capital letter wouldn't have gone a miss and you should have used 'at' instead of 'by', but other than that - word perfect Hemsie-baby, well done! A bit cheeky, but we know what you are on about!

I have a comedy post-code by the way N6 5EX. Quite apt considering the poshness of my road! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

Bought a ticket on the day from the kiosk outside the away end off a guy. Had the ticket checked by the woman stood outside of the kiosk by him. Queued to get in where two more guys checked the ticket and one asked for postcode. Walked past them to turnstiles where two more men wanted to check the ticket before we used it in one of the barcode turnstiles. Walked from the terrible catering area to the stand where we got stopped again so another man could check our ticket.

I think Blackie were worried that somehow their tickets can change stands, numbers, rows etc.
