and has spent so much effort "managing expectations" that negativity is so ingrained its hard to see how we can change course. In all my years suppoorting my team I have never felt so downbeat about its prospects. If we stay in this division until next season (at best) it will be by fortune rather than design. Sithi Dislilusioned long term reds fanatic.
It is getting harder and harder to buy into Barnsley Football Club. The guys near the top of the food chain like Rowing and Hill always mention how we are punching above our weight, which comes across as negative and the results don't help. We will continue to go backwards unless someone else buys us who has fresh and modern ideas on how to take the club forward.
It's okay, all we're hearing on Twitter lately is this fanpower ******** things. Talking about ***** and avoiding everything else.
I feel very similar to Spartacus. We are constantly told by Keith Hill et al that we need to be educated and understand how inferior our financial position is compared to other clubs in the Championship... FFS, WE KNOW! We've heard it so often we're sick to the back teeth of hearing it! Change the chuffin' record and let's hear something positive for a change. The fact is that if we do stay up this season it will be down to Pompey being deducted 10 points...
Talking of negativity and off-field stagnation, why is the tannoy suddenly so quiet when a song is played? Could hardly hear it in the Ponty. The mumbled car registrations could barely be heard either. Coupled with the barely audible slow songs and periods of silence before West Ham at home... hardly lifts spirits!
