    Straight from big Sam's mouth.
That could look the worst piece of business by BFC in a long time come 2.30 pm on April 28th.

Damn you beat me to it. I haven't posted before and I thought I'd have a pearl of wisdom to start off with. Don't know about looking the worst piece of business on the 28th April that's a shocking piece of business full stop. Proves the lunatics are in charge of the asylum at Oakwell

    Re: More than I thought

If we could rely on people buying season tickets, we could have held on to him until the end of the season, but we're not in the premier league next season, so people are make reasons up not to back the club, the short fall as to be met some how and Vaz Te was the way to get that money back, again blame the club for having to sell players to stay in business but its your mates that claim to be Barnsley fans when the big games come along or the team are playing well but when times are hard and the club need all the support they can get they refuse to back the club. and moan like **** about the way the clubs been run well i'm sorry the club as to be run like this because the clubs "FANS" are not backing the club

all we read on here for the 3 month leading up to January, was constant moaning about ticket prices, 30 quid this 30 quid that, i'm not paying 30 quid for a football match, fair enough that's your right, but once you have refused to back the club don't start moaning when we have to sell all our players to run the club, you can't have it all your own way

I agree, its the fans fault , Bastids!!!
The fans are to blame for the formation we play!
If another 20,000 bought season tickets we could be buying real footballers!
How dare the fans have other things to spend their money, its not like they dont know BFC are skint, I have never heard the manager mention the fact at all!
How dare the fans use their money to pay their bills when they should be handing it over at Oakwell ? How dare the fans buy food when they could be buying season tickets?
    What a set of Bastids!!!

    Truly awful business.

As a football club you CANNOT let your top scorer with 12 goals leave for £500,000.

Fukcing shocking bit of business from BFC.

this board does. This current board, had they been in charge, would probably have sold ashley ward for 500k as well

We have done it before and will do it again, the only shocking thing about it is the fact that some fans find it shocking!!!

I know we always get shafted in the transfer market, but come on £500,000 is tragic for Vaz Te.

    Re: More than I thought

Selling Vaz Te is having a massive bearing on whether or not I renew my season ticket. I've been a regular at the club for over 30 years but I may not be next season. I no longer believe in the manager, nor the directors, nor the owner, nor the club and it is decisions like selling Vaz Te that have made me feel this way.

So I'm ****** if I know what you're on about.

We have not ALWAYS got shafted !! We have got some good money for ordinary players in the past, Carl Tiler etc.
We got way over the odds for Ward and Hignett too.

There'd be 1000's more fans who could suddenly afford it if we were in the premier league though. I dont give a flying **** about the stay away army, if they dont want to come that's entirely their prerogative but I agree with the point made by Nightmare that there are loads moaning about lack if investment in the team, selling players, no ambition etc but dont put a single penny into the club themselves.

That's true i suppose then, not always getting shafted, but more recently we are!

I don't think Carl Tiler was ordinary

I thought he was special. He perhaps didn't have a fantastic career, but that was largely due to injury.

You're right that we didn't always get shafted. John Dennis knew how to get money for his players.
