Just that, I think considering our budget we are doing relativley well. But for those that want to see a change who would realistically ensure a better performance?
I want him to stay but if he did leave I would want O'Driscoll in charge. I think he's the only realistic candidate.
Nobody would do a better job than Hill with the same budget. Hill deserves another season to show us he can make progress.
I'm willing to let hill have another go, its changes at the top I want. Complete new owner and totally new board.
Our record since christmas is indefensible, regardless of budget and all that ***** No bottle No battle I've been watching this club for 35 years or more and I think I can honestly say I've never seen a reds side less likely to win a game let alone come back from behind. Survival isn't good enough not on the terms of relying (probably) on the financial demise of other clubs. I'll buy a season ticket next season but the desire to do so is diminished to an extent where I am severely doubting my sanity. I need a club where there is at the very least some fight and belief and I can see very little evidence of that from boardroom to the playing staff. The club no longer believes in itself. What an utterly ***** 4 months this has been, not forgetting August to boot. Survival this season is as hollow as it gets.
The red flag was waving after the colchester stubs incident. Its such a closed book at oakwell you dont know whats going on and whos dropping ******** all the time though. Is it rowing, cryne or hill? or all three? Id like to see a little more transparency.
Re: Our record since christmas is indefensible, regardless of budget and all that shi Agreed. The cynical would almost say its been engineered it been so consistently *****. Something has to change in the summer!
After all the negativity on this board, even from the supposed sensible crew of Jay etc, I was seriously thinking about deleting this site from my favourites. However, this thread has certainly lifted my mood. I still have full confidence in Hill, and support the owner as well. Mr Cryne has apparently said all along that if anyone with money wants to come in they are more than welcome, as long as they have the clubs best interests at heart, but unfortunately nobody has. What choice do we have? It's all too easy to say 'get a new owner' or 'get a better manager' but if there is nobody there fit for purpose then we simply must stick with what we have and back them. We are supporters at the end of the day, we are here to support OUR team. To appreciate the good times, we have to put up with bad times as well. Compared to some of the sticky situations we've been in in the past, this 'situation' is relatively glittering in comparison. Again, it's too easy to say 'worst Barnsley side i've ever seen' IS IT FRICK!!! (unless of course you're about 10 years old, or have an extremely short memory).
