    Yes please.

Sure there's an insurance office somewhere that needs some paper shuffling and paper clips counting.

    Re: defo yes

Can they actually be voted out or could it be brought up at a supporters club meeting or does Mr Bloore blow smoke up Don's and the unheard/unseen mans arse?

Where is the 'no but we need new members on the board' option.

Cryne is a bit busy to notice the lack of support from this poll for those alongside him on the board.

Or maybe Cryne is in a better position to see the job they are doing. There is no doubting we need investment and we need a bigger board but I just don't get this witch hunt for Don and Barry. We're a small club who have retained our championship status on a tiny budget and made a profit.

We can see from the outside what Cryne should be able to see from the inside.

It's probably best not to use the word inside in a sentence about Cryne, not just at the minute anyway.

    I dont understand this thread

Barry Taylor and Don Rowing are directors only by title, in order for the club to fulfil legal and accounting requirements. Barry needs to be Director of a football club to keep his FA position, as far as I know he's never taken a penny from the club as such, but has probably been influential in the decision for England Under 18/19/21s playing games at Oakwell, so has probably done and continues to do enough to justify. I dont see much of a problem with his association to the club, if you see that for what it is.

Don Rowing was club secretary at Scunny and was brought in to fulfil a role similar to Michael Spinks. Administration and day to day running, the things Patrick Cryne has never wanted to get involved in. However, since Gordon's departure, he was the only one left at the club to conduct transfer and contractual dealings. Don is salary employed, and I would bet given the flak he takes and the atmosphere he has to work in, earns every penny. Don does what Patrick says, end of. Every club needs a Don Rowing, you can argue that he is inexperienced and therefore leaving us exposed, but that is not his decision, it is how Patrick wanted it.

If you have any beef whatsoever about the 'Board' at Barnsley FC, you can only realistically and legitimately direct that at one person.

I'm led to believe that Cryne (snr) has negligible if any involvement in the club at the moment..

    100% YES

We need a proper board in place, ideally with some extra investment, but at the very least we need a proper Board.

    The vacum at board level

was deliberate though, and if its turning out to be counter productive and costing the club, there also needs to be a willingness to let outsiders in, who may not be as easily influenced. Financial stability is one thing.......

Maybe. But more checks and balances could have prevented that. Perhaps he's not the business man people think he is? Right place, right time, right government?

Probably wise. Just speculating to myslef about the trial. I read last week that he had been excused for health reasons. Does that mean he will be being tried at a later date? If so, surely the ongoing trial outcome would prejudice any future trial?
