Sums up my feelings exactly Also starting to doubt my sanity on the season ticket renewal, Ive changed my mind at least a dozen times in the last fortnight
Re: Sums up my feelings exactly Well 24 posts and only one suggestion of an alternative to hill, and even then chef tyke wants Hill stay. So I'd say to those that are happy slagging the club but have no viable alternative proposal - shut up until you do! ;-)
Re: Sums up my feelings exactly What? no double entendres on the bbs on a Saturday afternoon? What we gonna do without our resident finbar Saunders?
Re: There's no assets to strip No they haven't, they have been organised in such a way to prevent them from being stripped in the future. Come on Jay, you're not usually a negative poster, cheer up, roll on next season, might be more of the same but wtf it's BFC we support. Come on you Reds.
I'm sorry mate but that's not true They are in someone else's ownership. That's not being positive or negative it's just a fact.
No I think you will find that is a total fabrication!! I said I didnt like his accent , not that I thought he was a **** manager because of his accent!! If you want to have a pop, at least have the decency to get your facts right.
Who was it that said something about madness and repeatedly doing same thing? Let's hope the club practise what they preach and do something different in summer. Because if they go into next season with the same squad and they continue with the "we'll do well to finish 4th from bottom" mantra and we'll charge you £30 for the pleasure of it, the season ticket holders and pay on the day fans will vote with their feet.
Re: I'm sorry mate but that's not true Yes they are in someone elses ownership, Patric Cryne being one and the council are the other. I don't know if it's 50/50 or what but I bet PC owns at least 50%. So if PC wants to sell all his assets then a buyer will get his share of them. One of the reasons the council got involved was that they would have a say in any future development of those assets :- ie, to prevent any unsuitable use of the surrounding land by an asset stripper. It was well documented at the time by both PC and the council as to why the ground and land had been organised in this way. It was for the protection of those very important assets that Oakwell Holdings ( or whatever it's called ) was set up. I am sure that if ''the right person'' came along and made the right legal undertakings regarding future use of the land, ;- ie, accepting any restricting covenants the seller wished to insert, then PC and the council would sell Oakwell Holdings.
Re: Sums up my feelings exactly People don't have an alternative proposal( or at least a sensible one), because they know that BFC cannot afford one. I'm sure we would all love Mick Mc Carthy but it isn't going to happen. I think Keith has been cut A lot of slack, and he needs to start galvanising the CLUB not just the players. (not that he's done a fantastic job with the players of late if you look at results). I dont think any fan with BFC at hear wants to slag off the club or it's manager, but currently there seems to be little room for optimism on or off the pitch. Fingers crosse Hill and Flutcroft can pull something off next year.
Which manager in the football league has done worse than Hill over 20 odd games ? from a position of comfort. I'm not looking necessarily for a change of manager but certainly a change of approach, a change of strategy and a change of application from one which has so very nearly been financially very costly indeed. It will prove costly enough when counting season ticket numbers next term. If BFC / Hill cant re assess there strategy and make the necessary adjustments we will next term, be down with the christmas trimmings and I have never thought that before. Its been pergatory (barring fleeting glimpses) supporting BFC so far in 2012. BFC is like an old banger being run into the ground
Exactly They are nothing to do with the club. They are not owned by the club, the club will have no say in any future sale, should there be one, and none of the profits will go to the club should there be a sale. Unless of course one of the owners decides to give the club a gift. The club has already been asset stripped. It no longer owns the assets it once did. It has been stripped of them. It cannot be asset stripped again as there is nothing to strip.
Re: Which manager in the football league has done worse than Hill over 20 odd games ? from a team perspective i think hill will have learned a lot about this league this season and will hopefully will be better prepared next season and thats when he'll be judged in my opinion. as far as the board decisions are concerned i think maybe some changes and fresh ideas are a must but hopefully for the betterment of the club and not the board.
No, I dont like his accent, there are plenty more I also mentioned that I didnt like either., including my aunt. I have never said he is a bad manager because of his accent, but there are a few that have seen some references to that post and decided I must have said that. Either they are too lazy to check or they are just ignorant.. I am not afraid so say what I think, I am not afraid of what others think of me, but I am getting pissed off with liars!!
Re: Our record since christmas is indefensible, regardless of budget and all that shi Totally agree. On this board it appears we are in a minority, that said, there are 1,000's of reds fans that wont go back to oakwell whilst we are in this state.
Sorry, you're right I'm being petulant and arguing over semantics. Apologies for being an arsehole. My attitude on this board isn't right at all at the moment. I'll try to sort it out.
