    The manager.
I’ve been pleased with Mr Hill this season. Hes been quite honest and said what is happening. When them that sit around me at Oakwell have been 100% morons he’s said and I really respect him for that. He’s been honest with the Butterfield situation and I like that he sticks to his beliefs and I really think that will help during the next season a lot. He’s had to deal with Injuries like know other manager in any league. If I listed the injuries one by one I would still be typing come the new season. From RNL to Luke Steele and almost every player that’s played between has had an injury.
But without Mr Flickcorft this wouldn’t have been possible because he’s as important has Mr Hill and they work in a team.

    Transfers
I’ve been really happy with the players that he’s brought. Not seen Collins a lot but in the few games I’ve seen him play like at bloomfield road and at Oakwell against Cardiff I’ve been very impressed. Both times hes played at left back and looked the real deal there although I would like to see him more at Cb.
I’m pleased with how it’s gone for Jim Mcnulty, some had ago at Jim before he even kicked a ball and I thought and said at the time that I thought it was extremely harsh. He’s had a lot to go through in recent years with several injuries including losing I think a liver. On the pitch the Liverpool born defender looked good in several positions but I think he’s at his best at centre back. He’s also played and left back and defensive midfield and looked confident at both which his very good has it’s important we have Multi-positional players.
I’ve also been impressed with Scott wiseman, he’s a tall right back and his very quick which is one thing that you can’t deny his a very district advantage to have at championship level. He’s improving and I look forward to seeing him with another preseason in him and the advantage of a full year at championship level under his belt.
I’m also been pleased with Davies but I think he’s a big confidence player which means is season as been split in half. First half he was very impressive with good finishes at Doncaster and an amazing finish at posh.
Also happy with Perkins and think he does his job very well. In the few games I’ve seen Dawson I’ve been impressed and look forward to seeing him next season with a full preseason under him at oakwell.

    Short term deals loans.
The short term deals and loans and have been a bit hit and misses but that’s what happens with short term deals.
The big plus has been Mr Drinkwater. Certain BBS members will not like this but certain members weren’t happy with the signing of the then Manchester united midfielder but I had heard and good things about him while he was on loan at Huddersfield. BlueBird also entered the debate and fanned the flames of the always negative group but I kept to my guns and repeated that I heard he was a good player. He termed out to be a very good player and along with Butterfield at times it seemed they could send brain signals together. Unfortunately he left to go to the King Power when he performed very well in a Barnsley win.
Also I initially thought Korey Smith and David Cotterill were good signings but they haven’t worked out after promising starts. Also the likes of Ranger and Pak didn’t work out and played little part in the Barnsley season. Also David Button has had a ok spell at oakwell but isn’t up to the standard of Luke Steele.
    My feelings about the season.
I’ve enjoyed the season on the whole and have enjoyed watching the team every time I go to oakwell. But I enjoy watching the REDS away but that isn’t to do with the players, the stadium oakwell or the manager or directors although I haven’t been away anywhere near has much as I would like.
Normally I’m a really calm person who doesn’t let things get to me but this season them who sit around me in oakwell have. The moaning really isn’t nice and if I was a young player or any player there isn’t much apart from Keith Hill that would keep me here.
I’ve put on here many a time that I watch a lot of football on TV and I will watch any level of football and I never see the reaction that I do at oakwell. There needs to be educating at oakwell that the likes of Swansea fans have because if there centre forward picks up the ball facing his own goal and passes it to a Swans player that happens to be a centre back they don’t start moaning.
People often say on here the BBS that people don’t make noise but I disagree 100%, the moaners and morons can make plenty of noise when they want to.
This seasons made me very happy and very say, I’ve just said why it’s makes me sad but watching the u18’s at times have left me with a big grim on my face. Watching them makes me think Barnsley have a very bright future in store but it will take a few years, maybe another 2/3 seasons but then we should start to see the reward for the work that Simon Davey and Ronnie Branson have done along with others. I’m also pleased with the the players that have been brought in. I’ve totally forgot that Done only signed this season which is a massive plus because that means he’s fit in seamlessly in to the team.
If anyone at the club reads this then what would be the chance of an open fans meeting with Rowing, Taylor and maybe keith Hill and Maybe it could be possible for Mr Cryne to be there?
This would give the opportunity for fans to ask question with reason and let the club discuss the direction of the team, financial questions and maybe if the clubs had interest in a buy.
My only concern for the above would be the likes of orsenkart, reev, ryhilltyke types turning up

This as not been proof checked so moaners have a rest.

Jim McNulty is doing well after losing his liver

To sum up then it's been a brilliant season, all the signings have been brilliant and you have been brilliant for spotting that they were all brilliant players while every one else is **** as they all slagged the players off.

So all teh palyers ahve been good? Christ knows why we have won 13 points from the last 76 avaialble then!

To be fair, a decent summary. I don't agree re Wiseman, he always ends up inside and seems to be like a rabbit in the headlights going forward at the min. See last nights third goal.

Just FYI, You can only have one liver. Jim McNulty has, I believe, lost a kidney.

Differecne between us and Swansea passing it back is that when they do it their fans will have the belief they might actually score. We were more direct last night, especially in the second half. We forced more corners and had Hull under more pressure as a direct consequence of this. Perhaps we need to look at that as a way forward for teh future. I'm all for nice football, but is has to be fast attacking passing, not the slow ponderous passing at the back that usually results in an aimless punt from a centre half who is being asked to play above his ability all the time.

I honestly don't think that BFC fans are any worse than any others. To think so is just wrong IMHO.

I hope that the young 'uns do coem to fruition but history tells us that not many will make the grade. The last great hope seems to have lost his way in a big way and thsi summer is very important for him.

And does Hannibal Lecter have anything to do with McNulty's missing organs ?

Re: As the season heads towards its end I thought I would write a little summery on t

Well its all about opinions - I agree with parts of that but disagree with others
No amount of positive spin can get around the fact that we only got 17 points out of 72 so far second half of season - thats just not enough
I agree that some of our fans are to quick to get on the backs of the players and manager - but I doubt we are much different to a lot of other sides in that respect
I also think we have more misses than hits with signings
obviously the stand out 2 are Vas Te and Drinkwater and others who have shown to be good enough for the championship are
    Davies, Perkins and Done
For me the jury is very much still out on Wiseman and McNulty - maybe having had a season to settle they will be better next year but they have had more bad than good games when I have been watching
Edwards and Dagnell dont look up to it for me

Generally agree with your comments on short term loans - you missed Nouble - but again he hasnt shown me much to convince me he is championship standard

On Hill - great first half of the season - seemed to adpt a positive approach and tried to win them - second half he switched to a trying not to lose and it didnt work - Coventry away the most glaring example but there are many others. Done enough to be given another go next year though

Final point - bouncebackability - we havent any. I dont ever recall in 40+ years of watching us a season where once we go behind we know for sure its game over - 2 draws salvaged and no wins in a whole season - its beyond poor its terrible Hill really needs to figure out the reason for that and fix it for next year

McNulty lost a liver?? Brilliant. I also think Foster lost a heart but fortunately they were able to replace it with a pea. This does mean he runs on auto-pilot however.

Also i'm not worrying about this season in terms of second half season wins.

Look at performances, not points and didn't Charlton the league one leaders only win 2 of 18 league games last season

    Some of them.
I thought barnsley played quite well on saturday against Cardiff
I thought they should have got a point of Coventry
Thought they played well against Birmingham.

West ham was a shock but there was an overreaction, this west ham team CAN beat anyone and when they are on it away from upton park they are brilliant. Have they won 12 away this season most for 60 years plus or most ever not sure which but thats a good record to have.

The perfomances have been poor as well - be honest how many games that we have lost can you honestly say we were really unlucky and should have won? I cant think of any - I can think of a couple where we might have nicked a draw but thats about it. The points total is a fair reflection of our performances

Also Charlton changed their manager mid season and he had a bit of a struggle until he could bring his own players in - still managed 24 points from the second half of the season though - which is more than us and Hill already had built his team

Hill came in late last season really and thats why we signed the players we did.
This season will be a lot more planned.
He'll be able to plan on things.

He is implying that bad form this season is no indication of form next season. Like Donny Rovers.
