NO its been tough viewing recently but the Peterboro performance still shows the character of the squad and finally Keith has time to plan the future. victories over Leeds Leicester and Reading were personal highlights the Pikeys have gone down with better players but not a better manager.

But to all those congratulating him on fulfilling his brief on keeping us up was part of his grand plan getting Pompey deducted 10 points? because without it we would have been stuffed. And as for something to look forward to next year we have the basis of a team that can't defend , can't score goals,can't come back from a goal down, so predictable that other teams pick us off way too easily.
Yes we have lost key players which also shows that the whole set up needs a kick up the arse.Ands a perceived shortage of money is no excuse for lack of basic skills and fight.
I really hope that he has learnt something this season ( a bit of humility would help). I also hope he's learnt how to recruit because he's going to need a golden tongue to talk anybody decent in the state we are in at the moment.

I think underneath the bravado and arrogance he is learning and will be a better manager due to his experiences this season - most good managers have an arrogance about them. He'll learn from his mistakes and this includes what he says in his interviews. I'm not sure he even means everything he says, I think there is an element of saying things so protect his players by taking the spotlight off them and focusing criticism elsewhere.

No- but if the team show the same lack of fighting spirit like they have this year after the first 10 games next season he may have to go because we will go down if it stays like it is now!!
I do have hope that with some of the bigger earners out of contract in the summer and by being able to use the academy players as squad players we may be able to sign some better quality players in the summer. Also with other teams having to reduce their budgets due to ffp we won't automatically lose out on certain targets due to wage demands!

NO! Avoiding the drop was a massive achievement, and just remember what he did with a full squad last autumn. Hill will learn from his experiences this season, and will get it right next year. We also need some continuity. The best teams don't sack their manager after one season. Cut him some slack.

 

He was my choice for manager 11 months ago, and despite my faith receeding as quickly as the hair on my head, he remains my choice as manager.
Give him pre-season to recruit, and rebuild morale within the retained squad, and lets hope some lessons have been learnt.
I do have some serious issues with him - none more so than the retention (possibly) of Gray and Foster - but there are a lot of positives that I still admire about him, and so as I say, with a bit of learning of lessons we have to hope that next season he - and his players - are better equipped for the rigours of a FULL Championship campaign.
