rob staton " what can you do to get fans coming back to watch the team?". don " well we've got 2 games left to show them" or something like that. great marketing. how about freezing prices. no summer prices. no full prices. a minimal charge for extended payment terms, not ripping off the fans. how about involving fans in the 1912 and 125 years celebrations, and taking suggestions on board. no why should you don, another who's out of his depth.
He also mentioned bringing players in and freezing Hills budget despite a big loss in revenue. I thought it was a decent interview but let's not let that get in the way of the witch hunt there is likely to be on here.
Hang abart a minute, what about the expected income from Butterfield? The unexpected (and therefore not in his budget) income for Vaz Te? The unexpected income for Haynes?
"The year on year improvement set as a target by the board is long overdue for our fans" The Donster.
well i ddnd't expect us to have to hope on other teams losing to remain in the championship. and hill signed all the ***** players after learning about the 3 amigos not playing again.
the funniest thing about the don's interview was when asked what was happening with regards butterfield. "no clubs have been in contact, but i've heard at least 1 premier league club is interested." "who's the club" asked staton, " newcastle united" replied the don. a few minutes later a barnsley caller rings in and says, " i know for a fact jacob is having a medical at st james park tomorrow, ahead of signing a 5 year deal"* priceless.
we have bought defenders with broken legs, and goalkeepers with broken arms before, how did they pass medicals?
money does,nt always buy success you only have to look at teams like leicster, derby to see that. The season we went to the premiership i doubt if we only spent roughly a similar ammount as to what we have spent this year . Burnley another side doing the same thing as we did .my point is you don,t need to spend vast ammounts to be succcessfull picking out players that are able to gel together can achieve some sort of form, commitment and patience from players, club officials, managerial teams and fans are of the uppermost importance
Agree. We'd be as best off selling club and knocking ground down, at least it might shut half of these moaning bar stewards up on here. Why can't we have positive discussions instead of negative ones for a change?
Yeah, but in that situation, you need a manger that really knows the ropes (and knows the Championship). Keith keeps telling us he has been "on a steep learning curve", so will he have what it takes to do the job next season?
