    Ok so were back on line but there are still a few issues. Ive seen some great conspiracy theories as to why we were down. Roundsman must still be out there somewhere!

    The reality is that some kind souls decided to try and hack the forum using a known VBulletin exploit. The hosting comany detected it and put the site on hold until it coulld be fixed up and pached to the latest version, something i havent been doing as it breaks the threaded forum views hack you lot wanted so badlly. So Ive got to work out how to get that working again. Unfortunately I was on holiday, unusually for me, without a laptop. The hosting company initially agreed to do the relevant work and didnt actually bother so here we are.

    There also seems to be some incompatibilities with the existing skins so Im going to remove them for now. If you are having issues try changing to the BBS 4.1.12 skin. You might have to go into settings (top of page) -> General Settings (left side under accountsettings) and scroll down to forum skin and select it from there as the selector at he bottom of the page seem.

    Let me know what other issues you find, preferably in this thread

    Have to say Gally, the BBS 4.1.12 skin is a million times better than the one I was using before.

    I might have got used to the whole thing in time for next weekend's shut down. :)

    This is why no one should use vbulletin anymore terrible company since internet brands took over. You should look at swapping to IPB or xenforo.

    Anyways it's good to have the BBS back. :)

    IPB has been around for years and in my opinion it's by far the best of the lot. It looks identical to VBulletin to be honest but like vBulletin it can be customised to look however you want. Has the same kind of main site to it as well like this does. Don't think it's free though

    he he,nice one,anybody told nudge its back on as im getting a bit concerned about him,minds thi he wound alot of the po faced fookers up on tykes mad with his urgent appeals for info on this sites sudden demise .Thanks to gally for getting it up and running again, top stuff.

    I'm a confused old Hector!

    The main page with the original posts descends straight down (linear?), but the replies to the post are what I think is called threaded.
    I think I'll get Laura & Crystal to sort it out!

    This looks well bizarre. Not as good as before anyway. Half the options are missing, cant quote or see links or owt either. May pop back in a day or two to see if its fixed because this is a stripped bare version - at my end it is anyway

    In that case you're in hybrid mode I believe. Which mode are you wanting to view in? Threaded or straight down?

    The threaded view was a mod or add-on that Gally installed on the BBS. Because the site was hacked he's had to do an update which means threaded view has buggered off until he can update that mod and install it. The closest you get is the view you're using now where it is part threaded, part flat.

    Errr

    I'm on BBS 4.1.12. Does that mean anything? I can't find anything that says Hybrid.
