You must not be using Explorer then! Are you using Firefox by any chance?

I'm using chrome and I can select it and choose threaded but that only changes the view when looking at a thread doesnt it? Not when looking at the main forum page.

It's good to have it back Gally. As friendly as they were the TM crew banished us to the off topic forum. Nudger was not happy.

Now then, Gally, tell us the real truth - what was it like in Guantanamo? I think Nudger is in hospital after trying to fix the cable that LPT cut through!!!!!

As for Tykesmad - well I'll say no more except I was appalled by the attitude of some on there. People complain about this site but at least it is lively and there is always something to read.

Hehe. What was said on TykesMad. I did look today or yesterday expecting it to be real busy but it seemed as dead as usual.

Good stuff getting us back up Gally :) Some folks will moan about it taking too long etc but don't listen to them. The best thing of all is Young Nudger no longer needs to look an idiot on Tykes Mad.

Well for a start you have to look in the off topic forum - the main one is only for Barnsley FC related matters
    - obviously we arent related to BFC ....

bit of a mixed bag though - most that commented adopted a live and let live attitude but there were a few who seem to be abit against us - complaining that we are even mentioned on theirs

Must admit I hadnt been on there for a while until today and it still seems as quiet as it always was - though there is some interesting stuff off topic
on and on the main forum some people were criticising Hill our points total and the board - you'd almost think some of our posters had dopplegangers on there

I know I've been complaining, but it's hardly an 'end of the world' situation!:D

    Re: Can we

Which one? THere were a number of skins? Do you mean the one that looked a bit like the old BBS?

If so I was planning on aslking AndyTyke to create another one of those as he did it last time.

The Old format that was compatible with old versions of IE

where you could browse on a mobile device without having to use Forum Runner (which incidentally is not working).

The site is dying on its arse as it takes people so long to log in, scroll to the thread, find the right button to go advanced etc etc that no one can be bothered anymore. I used to be able to post in seconds, not it takes 2 or 3 minutes and I simply cant be arsed.

What version of IE are you using?

    What mobile device?

I'll have a look what skins are available.

There must something very very old or very wrong with your pc if it takes you 2 or 3 minutes to post though?

Im using IE7. And I would bet so are the other less frequent day time posters.

At night, Im on Android, and Forum Runner doesnt support posting on Android.

All in all, its a crock of **** and if people are looking for a reason why no marks like theer have taken over, its down to the bad decision you made some time ago on the format.

You're using a 6 year old browser so you are going to have problems. Technology moves quickly. Can't you install another broswer? Firefox/Chrome/Safari?

I think forum runner should work on adroid fine once we've sorted out the current issue.

Prior to moving to the new format, did you look at the analytics of what browser versions people were using?

Barnsleys largest employer still uses IE7. Corporate decision. Hence why its a stale on here during the day.

The Android version of Forum Runner does not support posting. Hence why there's a lot of people viewing on mobile devices but not posting at night.

Yes I did and a whopping 5.8% of visitors used IE7 prior to the site changing over which doesnt seem to support your argument. I cant imagine that has got larger since then.

As I say I will look for an IE7 skin

Forum runner does support posting from Android. It may be the version of the forum runner plug in we had didnt support this but this has now been upgraded to the latest version. When the outstanding forum runner issue is fixed you should have fuill forum runner functionality. Forum runner is now shipped as part of Vbulletin.

Did you look in the off topic forum. That's where all the action was over the weekend.
