I am just pleased Perkins didnt win owt! Because I just cannot see what he brings to the team in terms of quyality or skill!

Jacob Butterfield was POTY, followed by Vaz Te, followed by Steele.
But the club disregarded votes for the departed duo, as it would have made them look a bit of a joke. Sorry, it would have STRENGTHENED their joke status.
Looking forward to watching 2 of those 3 next season, plying their trade in the Greed League.
Not looking forward to the other one being flogged for 500k and a packet of condoms on deadline day... now, who's the Rochdale keeper...?

Much the same way as they would have been for Adam Hammill the season before and how is goal against Hull didn't make it as goal of the season

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Nick Colgan POTY in the 05/06 promotion season. Think he did because I remember thinking it was a strange turn of events when he dropped that clanger in the play off final (actually that wasn't my FIRST thought when he did that but anyway), so you can have a good season with goalie as POTY.

Now I'm not suggesting for a minute this has been the most successful season but given that it would be wrong to give a player who has left the award I can't see how anyone can argue with Steele. He has been on fire this season, he has come on leaps and bounds and if his kicking was more consistent I'm sure he would've been snapped up too by now.

 

In the same bin as the Drinkwater votes. It's a shambles they allowed us to vote for departed players and then clearly didn't count the votes. I can't bring myself to applaud Luke on saturday for "winning" it because it's only by default.

 

i assume you have proof that he has won by "default" did you count the votes yourself ? or are you goin by the belief that 30 people on a forum speak for the majority of the barnsley fans
