I happen to know that Vaz Te and Butterfields votes were counted along with all the others. They just didn't come in the top three.

My posts in the other thread were sarcy, an attempt at humour.
I said the Don ceased counting their votes after they got so high - alluding to his paltry work with figures.
I shall stick to twitter when attempting humour in future ;)

you might aswell knock on wood gally, some clearly know better than others or just want another excuse to have a pop at the club, am not saying the club have covered themselves in glory with some of there actions this season but some of the posters on this board are verging on the pathetic with there attitude towards the club they claim to support

Did you count them yourself then? Because I wouldn't believe that unless I counted them myself.

Who were second and third? Apologies if I've missed it.

Would be interesting to see a poll of a few hundred users on here on who they actually voted for - likely to be a statistically significant sample.

I'd like to know how many people voted in total, how many the first, second and third placed players got and what the voting breakdown is by media. How many voted online, how many by email, how many via a posted form etc.

Are the views of people who voted online significantly different to those who voted in person for example?

Technical question Gally. On the online voting if i disable cookies and vote, i then refresh the page it will allow me to vote again. Does the counter tot up the second vote? If so then online voting is open to abuse.

I guess your the IT man Gally.

To be fair I don't care anywhere near that much! I just have strong doubts that Vaz Te didn't get enough votes to get in the top three, and think that if he did the club should show sufficient respect to him and the voters to announce it.

Congratulations to Luke Steele in any case

Thanks Gally, all this conspiracy nonsense is getting a bit silly to be honest. Steele won player of the year, a lot of fans agree with the decision so I don't see why some are finding it so difficult to believe he won it fair and square. Even when there isn't anything to moan about some of our fans will find something. It drives me fecking mental.

You do realize there are only 3 people that think it was a fix dont you? One of those is Dreamy so that only leaves 2 others.

Steele was by far the most consistant player over the WHOLE season, others may have been better over a couple of months, but not over the full season. Just my opinion.

That's pretty much my point mate and I agree with you. I voted for Steele for the same reasons as you, as did a few other fans I know yet even after a POTY vote is announced we have a small minority sniping about the result. Even if they don't agree would it be so hard to just say I don't agree but well done Luke.
